She stood up and walked away from the table, leaving Jemma who kinda regretted teasing her too much. The rest of the morning was spent in eerie silence as Robin was practising walking.
Her first attempt was an obvious fail but with enough strength, her second attempt led her to limp walking. She was slightly happy about it because it would've been better if Jemma helped her but she decided not to talk to her after that incident.
She shook the thought off and continued to practise until she was able to walk properly.
Jemma was actually peeking on her after a while to check up on her. She was a bit shocked that Leon didn't come to visit but why would she care? After all, he did try to confess to her but luckily didn't have the courage to.
Now that I think about it... What are her feelings towards me? She thought curiously but decided to drop the topic because she didn't want another pissed girl in the house.
But then, she's the person who wants their curiosity satisfied ASAP.
Once Robin felt like she was good enough to walk, she did a test run by walking from the living room to the kitchen. It was a bit painful so she sat on the chair and rest for a while.
Jemma then sat down opposite to her. "Hey, uh Rob? I... wanna ask about what we talked about earlier..."
Robin's expression was in a mix of anger and pain. However she tried her best to conceal the 'pain' area. She took a deep breath and said in an irritating tone but it wasn't obviously shown.
"Let's talk about another topic, please?"
Jemma's expression softened which made Robin sigh in relief. Jemma stood up suddenly which made her jolt up. She walked over to Robin's seat and gripped her hands on her shoulders.
This made Robin very uncomfortable and worried.
"This is a serious topic. I won't let you slip away easily."
"A-about what?"
"You liking me."
......
"Y-you're crazy... I would n-never like you. E- EVER."
Robin's eyes were coated with water because it hurts to lie.
Jemma's expression made Robin more scared but still decided to continue with lying.
"I-I tell you... I DON'T."
She could feel the grip on her shoulder getting tighter every time she spoke.
"Stop lying and be honest with me for one sec."
Robin was trying so hard not to let her tears flow out.
"Do you like me."
It sounded more of a demand than a question.
Robin tried to take a deep breath but then she realized that she wasn't breathing when she spoke. She was absolutely terrified of telling the truth.
"No." She shook her head.
Jemma clicked her tongue and leaned closer to her so quick Robin couldn't process what happened.
All what she felt were lips on hers and hot tears falling down her cheek.
Jemma let go and wiped the tears from her cheeks. Robin didn't dare to look at her in the eyes anymore after saying such a huge lie but Jemma didn't care and lifted her chin with her thumb. She kissed her forehead, looked at her in the eyes and asked again but in a softer tone,
"Do you like me?"
The next thing Jemma felt were arms wrapped around her neck with tears soaking her shoulder.
