Living With My Ex Who Hates Me

And He Finally Gets A Diagnostic

(Jack's POV)
Well my mom thinks I'm crazy now so she's taking me to a shrink for a diagnostic.
"This is pathetic." I state in the car.

"What's pathetic is you being this crazy and think it's totally normal, Jack. Normal people would feel bad. Or feel something at all. Normal people would realize that Gabi is just a girl and there will be more out there. You are not normal. You are barely my son right now." She takes deep breaths.
My own mother wants to disown me for something that's not even bad! Gabi turned her against me. She will pay. Oh, how she will pay for what she has done to my life. She will pay in blood. It's only fair.
The car stops infront of a bland brick building and my mom escorts me in.
An old bat greets us.
"Hello dear. I'm Dr. Alanis. And I assume you're Jack?" She says extending her hand.

"Yeah." I say blandly back.

"Well come on in, dears." The woman says. We enter in a room with toys and coloring books and arts and crafts. I look around at the room and judge everything in my head. My mom pulls me down into a chair.
The woman goes over the whole 'privacy clause' and how she is sworn to secrecy but if help is needed she can call help.
My mom agrees to the terms and signs the paper.
She begins to explain the scenario that went down.
Blah blah blah "and he almost killed the child." Mom says.

"Everyone keeps saying that. I knew he would live. I wouldn't kill someone. He deserves it but I'm a good person."

"Are you crazy-" my mom begins but is cut off by the woman.

"Jack. Please tell me why you threw peanuts at this Alex character in your own words." She says.

"Well, I've liked this girl, Gabi, who I've been living with, we all have been living with. I've liked her for as long as I can remember and now she has totally betrayed me. After talking as a group about how my ex-friend Alex and I like her. She decides that I mean nothing to her and dates him behind my back."

"Ok I'm gonna stop you there." She interrupts. "Do you think she meant to hurt you?"

"Well yeah."

"Let me ask you this, did she verbally say she doesn't like him?"

"No"

"Did she verbally say she doesn't like you back?"

"Uh yeah but what does that have to do with anything?" I ask.

"Well it sounds like to me, that she liked Alex but didn't want to hurt your feelings. She was being honest and trying to help you when she said she never will like you." Dr. Alanis suggests.

"Doubt it." I say back bitterly.

"That's what Gabi said happened too." My mom adds.

"Ok continue with the story." She says.

"Anyways, when I confronted her about it after catching them coming home from a date while I was gone, it turned into her and Alex yelling at me to get over her."

"Stop again." She says. I sigh in exhaustion. She ignores me and proceeds. "Could it be possible that they are just trying to help you get over this girl and you are ignoring them?" She asks.

"No. Alex just wants me out of the way. He started to turn Gabi against me and Gabi finished the job." I argue.

"Ok continue with the story." She requests.

"After that, I started talking to another girl, and realized that Gabi was the only one I want. So then I went on a double date with her and Gabi and Alex. Gabi didn't even fight for what we have. She just went along with Alex and kissed right infront of me." Once again, Dr. Alanis stops me.

"Ok. So you feel betrayed by your two best friends. You feel as if the only way you can be happy is if you're with Gabi?" She asks.

"Well she is my soulmate." I respond. She writes stuff on her little notepad and signals for me to continue.
"So then there I was, in the cafeteria, I saw Kyndel, my brother, talking to Gabi, her friend, and Alex. A crowd was gathered around them so I walked next to Kyndel and his friends. They were talking about how she was a jerk for dating my best friend. I agreed and jumped in. I began to get into Gabi and confront her about how she has changed and how I want her back. Then Alex buts in and starts saying how I need to piss off. So finally I swung at him. He deserves it. We fought. I was losing and we needed to be atleast close to equal so I threw peanuts at him. No big deal." I say.

"No big deal? You hospitalized him! And I have to pay for it now!" My mom yells.
Dr. Alanis starts to talk.

"Well I think I've heard enough. I have your diagnosis. Jack, you show many signs of psychotic break downs and you think hurting people is ok. You are a psychopath and it is highly suggested you get serious help. Your thoughts are very dark and your unique interpretation of people is dangerous." The shrink says. She then begins recommending places to my mom.
After that, we finally leave and my mom grounds me until the trial.
She comes into my room and only says one thing.
"Your future will be decided in this trial. I hope you're happy."
