(Gabi's POV)
After I arrived home, I took food straight to my room and climbed onto my roof. I must've been up here for hours because it's now dark. The only light is coming from the moon and a few street lamps. I brought my portable radio up and hooked up my playlist. I must be listening to what seems like hours of my most emotional punk rock. I lay on the roof in the cold and let the ice water absorb into my long sleeve shirt and fuzzy pants. The music drowns out any thought I have and I just lay there.
My life is an endless cycle of drama.

I fall asleep on the roof in the cold early December night.

(Baileigh's POV)
Tuesday. Gabi and I continue on our daily routine. As usual, people stare at us in the halls and mock us for our recent happenings. We carry on, as promised to each other. Gabi reaches for her phone and receives a text from an old ally, Kyle.

'Hey. Saw what happened. So sorry I couldn't say anything. But I talked to Kyndel. Meet me in the janitors closet in 5 minutes if you wanna hear-Kyle."

We instantly head to the janitors closet. We go in and find Kyle sitting down with his arms crossed, thinking.

"Ok first of all, this meeting never happened. Jack especially doesn't need to know any of this. This is between you and me and your friend here." Kyle says. Gabi nods her head.

"Kyle, this is Baileigh. She is 100% on our side. I promise that." Gabi confirms.

"Good. So yesterday I talked to Kyndel. He talked to Jack right after the fight and said how Jack was totally apathetic. He was saying that what he did was justice for what you did to him. Kyndel thinks he's a genuine psychopath and wants to get him help." Kyle says.

"Ok I agree with that. Any word as to why he is back on our backs?" Gabi points to me and her and asks.

"Well, I couldn't get that much out of him. I began to even mention your name and he'd shut me down. It's a genuine mystery as to why he is the way he is. My guess would be that he just acts mean to you because he wants to look cool infront of his friends. I mean y'all talk civilized when nobody is watching but not at school or when his friends are over."
Kyle suggests.

"Yeah that sounds pretty logical I guess." I say.
"So is that all? Jack might be getting help?" I ask.

"Yeah that's what I found out. I'll try to find out more when I can. Oh and Gabi, please be careful. Right now, Jack is very dangerous." Kyle warned.
We leave the janitors closet and the bell rings. We quickly enter our AP Government class and take our seats.

"Why were you two almost late?" Mr. Pal asks.

"Well they went into the janitors closet together so probably having a threesome real quick." Jack spits from across the room. He shoots us daggers for looks We roll our eyes.

"Jack, didn't you hurt that kid in the cafeteria?" The teacher points out.

"Yep!" He says with a grimacing smile. "And I already got suspended after today for it so don't even bother." He says in a highly bitter tone.

"Any more attitude like that and I'll make sure you stay another day or so at home." Mr. Pal threatens.
Jack rolls his eyes and continues to glare at Gabi.
The class continues on and it's highly uncomfortable.

(Gabi's POV)
Finally, the bell rings and Baileigh and I walk to our next class. We hear some familiar voices behind us. Kyndle and Jack and all their buddies.
I ignore Baileigh's voice and listen in on the boys' conversation.

"Yeah as you all know we went all the way, and may I say, she is awful at that stuff. Jack, could you contribute anything?"

"Well I know every one of her secrets but that's about it." I instantly feel ice shoot up my veins.
"She sent nudes to all sorts of guys, she has slept with Alex, and she paid Alex to go out with her." Jack continues.
I stop there and turn around.

"None of that is true! Why are you making up such bs?!" I yell at Jack. He shoves me forward.

"Oh hey, Gabi! Didn't see you there." He says sarcastically.

"I thought you cared about me! What is going on with you!?" I say in a horrified voice. By now Baileigh has rushed by my side, but remains silent.

"Boohoo! I thought you cared about me too! But you were low enough to go immediately to Alex when you knew how I felt. You were totally apathetic to me now I'm simply giving it back." He says proudly.

"You almost killed Alex!" I yell back.

"And that hurt you right? See, just giving it back." He responds. I don't even respond as I realize how lost my once-best friend is.
I walk away with water in my eyes and Baileigh by my side. We continue to get crap for the rest of the day when literally we did nothing but try to carry on. At the house, Jack constantly tried to get onto me. Finally, I locked my doors and shut myself in my little hole of a room.

I guess carrying on is harder than I though it would be.
