Thalia POV

After going inside and trying our best not to make it awkward, I put six boxes of Macaroni and Cheese on the stove.

"....what are you doing?" Ashton asked. He had been on his phone for the past ten minutes, but had suddenly showed up behind me. I accidentally dropped the cardboard box in the boiling water, and we both burst out laughing.

"You scared me!" I pointed at him accusingly- still grinning. He laughed, reaching over me and using the ladle to get the now very damp cardboard box from all the food.

"Why are you making so much food?" He asked, giggling. I shrugged.

"Hey, I don't cook much. Prepare for three days of Mac n' Cheese and moose tracks ice cream!" He looked back in the pot.

"Can't say I see any ice cream, babe." I slapped his chest playfully.

"Well no shit Sherlock, I haven't bought it yet." He laughed, and I turned around, stirring. His front was pressed up against my back and his arms wrapped around mine, stirring with me. Casual conversation flowed out of us quickly, and there wasn't a beat of silence.

"So you're gonna be a teacher?" He asked curiously. I shrugged.

"Yeah, I guess. I'm not really good at anything....and I don't really like, uh, anything, but I used to babysit this girl and she was homeschooled and I taught her a couple of different subjects and her mom said I would be a good teacher." I turned my head slightly, looking at his reaction. He looked taken aback, but maybe it was because now that I turned my head out faces were really close to each other.

"Everyone's good at something." He was quieter now, since we were closer together. I could hear his breath loudly.

"Not me, apparently." I felt the urge to just lean up and kiss him. It wouldn't be that hard, he was so close. Quiet. Attentive. There was a moment of silence.

"You're gonna burn the food," he said, giggling, and reaching over me. I didn't move for a second. He drained the food, and steam filled the room. I coughed, rubbing my eyes. It was hot and wet and a little intense. He took hold of my forearms.

"Hey, you okay?"

"Ash, it's just food," I said, recovering. He smiled, letting go of me.

"Yeah, I know, just...." I smiled encouragingly.

"It's cool." I went to dump macaroni on my plate. When I was done, there was a huge glob on my plate. When I turned around, Ashton's eyebrows were raised. I gave him the finger and we both laughed, as I plopped down on the couch. He came and sat next to me, close, so his thigh was touching mine.

"No table?"

"Shut up, I'm broke as hell." He smiled, shrugged, and then lay his legs across mine and set his plate there.

"So." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Netflix?" I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV.

"Netflix and chill?" He whispered in my ear through fits of giggles. I smiled, but I rolled my eyes.

"You're like a ten year old boy, oh my god."

"Trust me, I get way more action than you do." I leaned on the edge of the couch, facing him.

"Is that a challenge?"

"It's an obvious statement, sweetheart."

"That's offensive."

"You're a virgin." He said, pointing at me. I nodded.

"Touché."

"We could always change that..." i cocked my head. He burst into laughter.

"I'm kidding!

THE PAIN
Okay but seriously I have a plan for how this is all going to turn out, give me a bit of time.
Also, updating every day is a little unrealistic, but who knows.
