A/N play the song at the top during this chapter. There aren't any words, but the music sums up how I think both of them are feeling in the moments leading up to them meeting. This is only the short version, I couldn't find the actual song :( also the photo at the top is Thalia's outfit when they meet

Ashton POV (!!!!)

My flight was leaving in about twenty minutes, and I was too excited to even think properly. Thalia. Damnit, that girl got to me. She pushed and pulled me until I was ripped out of my shell. I couldn't close my eyes without seeing her, I couldn't go a moment without thinking about her. Her sarcasm, playfulness, empathy... all of it. Why was she the way she is? How was she so... incredible?

"Flight 541 coach seats now boarding." I heard boom over the intercom, and I hastily grabbed my things and fell into step behind a tall, bearded man. I texted Thalia once before the flight, realizing I wouldn't be able to talk to her until the morning. It was afternoon here, but I knew in New Hampshire it was past midnight.

Ashton: boarding. we're taking off soon. see you in the morning xo

I didn't get a text back.

Thalia POV

I spent the hours before I went to bed looking out the window, at the stars which shown brightly over the small college town. I knew nothing about astronomy, so I would make up my own constellations as I looked out the open window. It was cold, winter coming on and all, but I liked the cool wind blowing on my face. I closed my eyes, and instead of seeing my family or my friends, I imagined Ashton here, standing behind me, gazing out the window, as he might in the time to come. It was strange. I wanted to stay up all night, but halfway through Ferris Beuller's Day Off (a/n the best movie everrr) I fell asleep. It was around midnight, I think. Maybe a little before.

BEEP
What?
BEEP
Oh, frick.
BEEP
Finally, I got up from my position on the couch with my laptop and to my room where I turned off my six am alarm. I didn't have class today, but I'm pretty sure I set that alarm for a reason....

Shrugging, I went back to the kitchen. I probably should make breakfast, in case Ashton's hungry when he gets here.
OH
ASHTON
Scrambling, I threw on a new shirt, keeping on the same jeans and long underwear from last night, and grabbed my cute black coat and a beanie. I was about to run out the door when I saw two things:
1. It was six thirty and his plane didn't land for and hour, plus getting his bags and everything might take longer
2. I looked awful
So I backtracked. I put on some lipstick and eye makeup, and brushed my hair. Then I moved on to making my bed and cleaning up a bit. At around seven, I headed over to the airport.

In the car, I played The 1975. Their music calmed me and my nerves were off the wall. I had gotten a text from Ashton last night, but I didn't know what to answer. A while earlier, he told me his terminal and where I should meet him. When I drove up to the correct area, I texted him a short 'here.'

For a while he didn't show. I was still in the car at eight thirty. But at eight forty-five, I was a little exhausted. I parked and walked back over, and went to talk to security.

"Hey, I'm picking someone up, and they were on Flight 514. It's landed, yeah?" I asked a big man who looked security-like. He glanced at his watch, and then nodded.

"Yeah, it landed over an hour ago." I huffed, looking around. The door behind him opened again. I paid it no heed, until I heard one word.

"Thalia?"

A/N
OH SNAP YOU GUYS
ITS HAPPENING
Alright it's kind of late, but I'm gonna see if I can continue working on the next chapter tonight.

Also, I can't say I'm super proud of this chapter. I'm better at dialogue than description and internal thoughts, haha.
Love ya xx
