Ethan's POV

"Bro, what the fuck?" You scared me. How'd you know where I was?" I asked.

"It's the 21st century. I used the 'Find My iPhone' thing."

"Why?"

"Because I didn't want you to go on a killing spree."

"I found an anchor. Something to help me control all of this."

"And what's that 'anchor'?"

"Mia."

"You've gotta be kidding." he rolled his eyes, "you literally just met her."

"We've been on a few dates..."

"Two. Two dates."

"I'm happy for the first time in forever. Why can't you just understand that?"

"I'm sorry. I just don't wanna see you getting hurt the same way you did when you were with Meredith."

"Mia makes me happier than Meredith ever did."

"Can we go home? I'm tired. I jogged all the way over here."

Mia's POV

I woke up the next morning in bed. I'm assuming Ethan brought me up here. I found a note on my nightstand.

I'm picking you up at 12. -Ethan

It's 10. Shit.

"Hey mom." I called.

"Hey sweetie. How's everything at home? Haven't burned down the house yet have you?"

"About that..." I laughed. "How was your flight?"

"It was good. The service wasn't too shabby. First class, I love when my job pays for my flights." she chuckled.

"How's New York?"

"Not too bad. Just a lot of people here."

"Fun. Have you guys gone to see the Statue of Liberty yet? Madison Square Garden?"

"We haven't had the time to do so."

"What time is your next meeting?" Wow this phone call is literally me just asking questions.

"In a few minutes. I just need to put a few things together."

"I'll let you do that. I just wanted to check in and see how things were."

"Okay. I love you."

"Love you too." I hung up.

I got out of bed and went to freshen up a bit before Ethan comes to pick me up. I had to check the weather so I know what's a good outfit to wear. 74° today. I decided to wear a floral dress and a light denim jacket, similar to the outfit Lydia Martin wore in 3x05 and 3x06 of Teen Wolf. Queen Lydia.

Someone called me on FaceTime. Just Brie.

"Hey." I answered.

"Let's go shopping."

"I'm actually going somewhere with Ethan today. But we can go tomorrow?"

"I guess. I wanna go dress shopping for homecoming."

"I don't think I'm going." I said quietly.

"To homecoming? What? Why not?" she looked at me surprised.

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"It's senior year. You gotta have some fun."

"Are you going with Jack?" I asked.

"We broke up."

"Oh... I'm sorry."

"He's a literal twat. I'm not even sure how or why I even thought I could change him."

"It happens to the best of us. It's okay."

"Maybe one day." she chuckled. "Wait. What's that on your neck?"

Shit.

"Ethan's here. We'll talk later." I grabbed my stuff and walked out the door. "So where are we going?" I asked.

"Roller blading."

My eyes widened, "no... I'm not even dressed for that. Ethan, what the fuck."

"You look fine, don't worry. Have you ever been?"

"Yes and I suck at it."

"It's okay. I got you."

We got to the skating rink and I put my skates on. I'm not ready for this. "I'm going to die."

"You're so dramatic. Come on." he held his hand out, "you got this."

After what felt like 49197 years, I managed to at least glide along the walls... without falling. We came super early and had the rink all to ourselves.

"Let's take photobooth pictures now." I ran to the booth and Ethan followed.

"1-2-3. Smile!" The screen read.

Ethan's POV

While we were taking pictures, we had two poses left and we didn't know what to do. We just sat there staring at each other and then we kissed. Should I ask her out and hope for the best?

The pictures came out and there was one slight problem. My eyes were glowing in two of them.

"Must be something wrong with the camera." she said. "And these pictures were so cute too."

"Let me see." I ripped off the two that my eyes were glowing in and threw them away. "Problem solved."

"Are we a thing?" she asked me straight up.

"I don't wanna push you into anything."

"It wouldn't be pushing me into it if I wanted it too."

"Well, then. Would you, Mia Vanderwaal, do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"

"I'll have to think about it..." she smirked, "I would be elated to be called your girlfriend."

"Now, next question." I paused, "will you go with me to homecoming?"

"It would be my pleasure."
