Mia's POV

"She found a dead lifeguard at the pool by the mall."

"We need to wait it out a little before we can confirm she's a banshee."

"What? Why?"

"Don't tell your mother nor your aunt about this."

"But we need answ–" I got interrupted.

"Hey guys. Ready to eat?" my mom walked in.

"Starving." I awkwardly smiled.

"Hello, Ethan."

"Mrs. Vanderwaal. Vanessa."

We sat at dinner making small talk before Ethan had to leave.

"It was nice having you over." my aunt said.

"Thank you for having me." he wiped his mouth and got up.

I got up as well, "I'll walk you out."

He leaned into my ear, "I actually need a ride home."

"Right." I looked at my family, "I have to drop him off. I'll be back in a bit."

There was an awkward silence the whole ride back to his house.

"Soooo... I'll see you Monday yeah?" he unlocked his door.

"Of course." I smiled. "Wait. We still have to finish that project. We didn't get anywhere last time and that thing's due on Monday."

"Come over tomorrow or something."

"Then I'll see you tomorrow."

He leaned over and kissed me before officially leaving.

I'm glad that my parents seem to have accepted the fact that I'm gonna keep seeing Ethan whether they allow it or not. They haven't said anything about it so I'm hoping it stays that way and they're not plotting something against him.

"Mia." my dad called from the dining room.

"I thought you guys would be in your rooms hanging out by now."

"You weren't gone for long."

"Did you need something?" I asked.

"No. We just wanted to tell you that we'll start accepting the fact that you're dating a werewolf. Last time you said we never look out for your happiness and whatnot. We just want to keep you safe. But seeing that you're actually happy with Ethan, who are we to be standing in the way of your happiness like that."

I smiled, "thank you. I have homework to do now."

"Good night." they each said.

They all smiled and I walked to my room.

I'm going over to his house today to hangout and we've made a commitment that we're going to finish our project. It's due Monday and we literally have nothing done. We've all been so distracted with everything that's been going on.
