"Jaelyn, rise and shine honey." I slowly open my eyes, just only to be met by my mother pulling up the curtains. I sit up in my bed and look out the window. The sun is shining and there are no clouds on the light blue sky. I can hear the birds singing to me and the rest of the world. My mom walks over to my bed and sits down down beside me, giving me a hug. She asks me if I slept well and I nod. I look at her and smile, she is so beautiful. She has long curly brown hair with blond highlights, brown eyes that perfectly fits her light chocolate brown skin. She is tall and thin, but my dad is still taller. She rises from the bed to help me up. She is wearing a deep blue dress with long sleeves made of lace.
"I have to go to work, your brother is in the kitchen and your father is already at work. You have to take your brother to school." My mom tells me. I nod and kiss her goodbye. I follow my mother out of my room, she stops in the hall but I continue to the kitchen. My brother is sitting at the table eating his sandwich, I sit down opposite him and say good morning. He looks at me and gives me a sleepy smile. He is always tired in the mornings so I don't talk to him a lot during breakfast. We leave the table at the same time and help each other remove the things from the table. My brother goes to his room to get ready for school, and so do I. I sit down at my makeup table and starts to put makeup on my face. When I'm done I look into the mirror, my makeup is good, but my hair's a mess, it standing in every direction. My hair is short, blond and never does as I wish. I go to the bathroom and soak my hair in the sink. Then I blowdry my hair in the right direction. When it is in the right direction, I apply some hairspray on my hair so it stays that way the whole day. When my hair is done I go back to my room and to my closet. I open the door and take out some clothes, I chose a white skirt and a flower-patterned tank top.
I go to my brother's room only to meet him at the door. He's dressed in black pants and a black shirt. He quietly walks to the hall and puts on his black sneakers. I follow suit and put on my white sandals and a white cardigan. I grab my keys and follow my brother out the door. I lock it and we begin our walk to his school.
We don't talk much during the walk because he's still tired. It takes us about 20 minutes to walk to his school, I drop him off and take the bus to my school. On the way to my school the bus stops several times, and on one station my best friend gets on the bus and walks all the way back to me while talking loudly on her phone. When she sits down she says goodbye to the person on the phone and take out the earphones from her ears. She hugs me and I her, then we kiss each other on the cheek. We talk about everything and nothing, suddenly we arrive at the school. The day drags past and finally the school is over and the weekend is here. I have so much planned for this weekend. Today I'm going to go home and make dinner for my family and then we are going to play some family games. Tomorrow I'm going to train with Liv, my best friend and then we are going to the movies to watch Hugo, the movie about a boy who lives on a train station as he takes care of the clocks. I'm really looking forward to it because almost everybody at school have seen it and they all talk good about it. Then, after the movie, me and Liv are going to have a sleepover at my place because my parents are taking my brother to some place I've never heard of, but he never stops talking about it.

When I get home my brother is sitting on his bed with his laptop in his lap. I sneak into his room and throw myself on the bed, causing him to let out a light cry. He puts his computer on the bedside table. He pulls out his earphones from it so the music is playing out loud instead. We cuddle in his bed for a while and just listen to the music without uttering a word. If I die young, some of the lyric
"I need to make dinner, you wanna join me?" I ask him. He looks up at me and nods. We get out of bed and walk to the kitchen.
"What are you going to make for dinner?" he asks and looks curiously at me.
"Your favorite, pancakes" I smile and so does he.
"Do you want to make salad for us?" I ask him.
"Yeah, sure sis. When does mom and dad get home?" He says.
"About half an hour" I say while I mix the batter. I look at him and he looks back at me and says "I'm so happy I have you as a sister. You're the best sister ever".
"And you are the best brother ever" I say and hug him. We stand like that for a while, until he says "Hey sis, I need to have the salad ready until mom and dad gets home". I release him from the hug and continue to make pancakes.
I'm almost done with the pancakes when the door opens and my mother says "Hello Lyn, hello Ghus!"
"Hello mom, hello dad" both me and Ghus say at the same time.
"Oh, it smells good, what have you done to the pancakes?" my father asks when he walks into the kitchen.
"You think? I have bananas in the the batter. I wanted to try something new."
"Yeah, it smells delicious" my mother says and sniffs in the air. My mother and father comes over to my brother and me and gives us a hug each. I take the plate with the pancakes to the table and my brother takes the salad bowl to the table. Mom and dad grabs plates, cutlery and glasses. We sit down and eat.
When we are done there is still pancakes left for tomorrow if someone wants. I think my dad are going to take them to his job as lunch, because he always takes food from home. My dad works early tomorrow because he and mom are going to take Ghus somewhere. And, I'm, going to meet up with Liv at the gym at 11 o'clock in the morning. When we're done there we're going home to me too make ourselves ready to go to the movies.

"Come on Liv! All the way! You can do it!" I push (encourage) Liv so she can beat her record in running. She smiles at me and the sweat is dripping from her nose and her light pink sweater isn't light anymore, it has turned dark because of all the sweat. She is so close to beat her record, just a few hundred meters left, and she has about 1 minute left. I can see in her face that she just wants to lay down and die, but she doesn't, just because she's a winner.
When she is done she has run 300 meters over her record. She stops the walking band, steps off it and she lies down on the floor, and she looks like she is dead. But the only thing that can help us make out she isn't dead is her fast breathing and the big smile on her face. "I did it, I really did it" She gasps. "Yeah you did" I say and give her a big smile and a helping hand so she can stand up and so we can go to my place and get ready for the movies.

The movie was so good, both me and Liv loved it, it really touched me, and I think it touched her to, just that she doesn't want to admit it. But I heard her sobbing inside the theater. But now, we are just going to have the best sleepover ever, we are going to stay up all night long and watch chick flicks, horror movies and eat a lot of candy, popcorn, chips and drink a lot of soda, just because we deserve it.
In almost all of the chick flicks I cry, because it is so beautiful, the girl always gets the boy and they live happily ever after, I also laugh because it is always at least one character that is really stupid and makes a lot of mistakes. And in every horror movie both me and Liv scream so much and so loud that we cant't even say goodnight to each other that night without our throats hurting.
