I run as fast as I can to where me and the others were hiding only hours ago. It's difficult getting there at all. Most of my powers aren't working. I can't figure out why, but I'm not going to stand around wondering while the rebels get slaughtered. While Violet gets slaughtered. My heart skips a beat as I remember that she is with the rebels. I sprint a few blocks before stopping to catch my breath. I look around for any source of transportation to see a blue car with the door open. I step into it, slowly, my body still aching from the fight. Thoughts of Chase, Purge, and Violet, cloud my mind like fog. I shouldn't have killed Chase. There had to have been another way.

I sit in the seat and lay my head back against the cool leather for a few seconds, the snow falling outside. I charge up electricity on my finger, hoping this will work. After charging what I hope is enough energy, I put a finger where the ignition is. It jump starts the car and I smile in relief. The engine purrs loudly. I'm surprised the thing still works. No, there wasn't any other way. The only way to stop him was to end it. Prison wouldn't hold him. It would be torture, letting someone who was once good remain evil. I've never driven before, why not start now? I place my foot on a pedal and the car doesn't move.

"Oh, I gotta-" I pull the switch and put the car in drive. I then place my foot on the same pedal and the car still doesn't move. Must be the brake. Idiot. I put my foot on the other pedal and the car sharply revs forward. I turn the wheel so I don't hit a car and quickly, and horribly, drive down to the heroes. It's better that Chase died. It wouldn't have been right to leave him that way. And now Purge has to die. I swerve across the road, almost running over a fire hydrant. He has to pay for all the things he's done. All the people he's killed. All for his main cause. Domination of the planet. I won't let him. I can't. He has to be stopped. But first I have to help my friends.

I keep driving as fast as possible before I slow the car down and hop out of it in front of the store the heroes were holding out in. I gaze upon the store, covered in flames and rubble, dead rebels lying all over the ground. None I recognize. I look down at one, his eyes closed and bullets in his chest. He's even younger than me. I can tell he didn't have powers. He was just a regular kid with a gun. A kid. I clench my fist and look at the battle that is raging on.

Heroes are fighting the grunts and yellowjackets, and a few of Purge's other lackeys. I rush headfirst into the battle, disregarding my safety. A grunt aims his gun at me. I smack the gun to the right and it fires, the barrel close to my ear. The bullet strikes the ground as the piercing noise echoes through my head, my ears furiously ringing. I quickly punch him in the helmet and it shatters. I then punch him in the chest, cracking his armor and knocking him back into a parked car. Then I see Subzero, or Cryogen, get knocked back into the ground. He rolls past my feet, icy blue blood dripping from his mouth and chest. He stands up and quickly blasts an ice spike into the stomach of a yellowjacket. The man falls over and hits the ground.

"Nice to see you again." Cryogen smiles before pulling out two handguns, blaring them in all directions, hitting multiple targets. "Thanks for killing Purge." He says, sarcastically. Then a bullet whizzes by me and strikes Cryogen in the chest. He stumbles back, before shaking it off and then shooting the grunt who shot him. He releases a whole clip into the guy, even after he is clearly gone. "That's what you get! Quit shooting at me!" He says to him. He then looks at me, "Arc, Quiver, Violet, Elemental, and Nitro are keeping Purge busy. Darkblade got hit hard and couldn't shake it, and Neon is treating him." Violet.

Suddenly, large dropships fly over me and Cryogen. They're large and dark green, with large doors. I can tell these aren't Purge's men. The three ships have a large logo on the side that reads USMC in large white letters. They hover for a moment before landing a few yards away from us.
