Chapter 2

Paytons POV

"So are you coming to practice tomorrow?" Michael said as he crawled under the blaket on my bed.

"Of course."

"Okay good. Do you mind if I invite Alex?" He asks and I look up from my tablet.

Of course I mind. She was going to take the boys from me and I did not want to be her friend.

"Uhm yes I mind."

"Why?"

"I don't like her. There is just something about her that I don't like."

Michael sat up and turned to face me.

"Pay, remember when I was the new kid?" He said. "I had no friends for the longest time. Then I met you and the boys and we have been inseparable. Should we help Alex out?"

I guess he was right. Damn him. I was being harsh and judgemental. I should at least give her a chance.

"Fine. I will give it a shot." I said and he cheers and gets his phone out to text her. "But the second she gets on my nerves she out. Okay?" Michael just mumbled to signal ok.

He texted Alex and then we laid down in my bed and watched disney. We stayed there for awhile until pretty late and then I fell asleep.

Mikey always waits until I fall asleep to leave. Our parents are friends so we can go to each others houses whenever.

"So are you riding with me and Luke?" Mikey asks me as he throws his arm around my shoulders and we walk out of the hell we call school.

"Yea I suppose." I said and we got to Michaels car and I sat in the front and Luke was in the back.

"What are we waiting for?" I ask.

"Alex. Shes coming." Michael said and gets out of the car.

"Hey Pay, uhh do you mind if Alex sits in front?" Mike asks and I roll my eyes. I get out and get in the back. Once everyone gets into the car we blast Ed Sheeran and we all sing along.

We got to Michaels house and all get into the garage. Cal and Ash are already there setting everything up. I flop on the little red couch that I always sit on.

Alex comes and sits next to me and smiles at Michael. Great this outta be fun.

"Hi I'm Alex." She said to me.

"I know." I said harshly. I met her like 10 times already.

"Yea. So uhh are the boys any good?" She asks trying to make conversation.

"They are amazing." Michael's mom says behind me and I turn.

"Mom!" I said and hugged her. She laughs and hugs me back.

"Hey Payton. Would you mind helping me get drinks for everyone?" She asks and I nod and follow her into the house.

We go to the kitchen and she pulls out lemonade and ice and I grab red solo cups for everyone.

"So how do you like this new girl Alex?" She said. Michael's mom was like my mom. I could tell her anything and everything.

"Ehh." I said trying not to sound to much like a bitch.

"That's what I thought." She said and we both laughed. We had small talk and then carry the drinks back to garage.

I help hand the drinks to everyone and gave one to Alex before sitting.

"Okay have a good practice hun." Michael's mom said to Michael and left the garage.

The boys start playing Teenage Dirtbag and I sit back and watch. Alexs mouth dropped when she heard them. I smirked.

Luke starts singing and his beautiful voice seemed to make me forget about Alex for a second. Luke was so talented and it pains me to say it but he is the best.

Luke messed up on a part so Ashton started giggling whic triggered Calums and soon enought all four of the boys were holding their sides in laughter. Which made me and Alex laugh.

"Pay come over here and help me adjust this mic. You are the only one who knows how." Luke said and I go over to him. Everyone got into their own little conversations.

I wrapped my hand around the mic stand and then Luke put his hand over mine and bent down.

"Ill help." He said and smiles his dimply smile. I blush which was a first from being around the boys.

I don't reply and just let him help me. When we get it all fixed up we stand up and Lukes hand is still on mine.

"Pay?"

"Yea?"

"Would you like to go-"

"Hey Michael!!" Alex screams behind me cutting Luke off.

I turn on my heal and as I do cold lemonade spills all over me. I gasp from the cold. The lemonade only got on my shirt and down.

"I am so so so sorry!!" Alex screams getting up from the ground. I gave her my oh so famous death glare. "I swear it was an accident. I didn't see the chord there."

All the boys were watching us to see what I do next. I was pissed. I began walking towards her with my fists clenched but someone grabbed my arm to stop me.

"Don't." Michael said. "Ill bring you home to change."

I let Michael bring me home and we ride in the car in silent. He knew better then to say a single fucking word.

I got to my house and got out of the car as I slammed the door behing me. I did the same with my house door.

I got upstairs and changed into pajamas. I got into bed and texted Mikey that I'm calling it a night.

I can't stand her. Even if it was a damn accident the embarrassment was real.

Ill get her back. Trust me, Ill get her back.
