Chapter 32

Paytons POV

I woke up with a voicemail and I listened to it. It was Alex apologizing about me and Luke. I texted her telling her it wasn't her fault. Then I got up and changed into black leggings and a pink sweater. My go to outfit now a days. Never feel like dressing nice.

I went downstairs after doing my hair and saw Trish and Tyler on the couch. I went to the kitchen and grabbed an apple then went and sat with them. They were watching SpongeBob. When Tyler noticed me he completely shifted his attention to me. It made my cheeks heat up.

"Come out with me tonight." He said and I gave a surprised and confused look. "Well me and the rest of the group. I heard of this all ages club a couple towns away."

"Okay. Sounds fun."

"Great." He smiled and turned back to the tv. I knew he only invited me because he pities me but I need a fun night.

"You kids better leave before you're late."

We groaned and got up. We grabbed our bags and I let Tyler drive us to school.

"So we're going right after school. Its kind of a drive." He said smiling down at me as we walked to my locker.

"That's alright. Does your mom know? What am I gonna wear? Wait, is Luke going?"

"Am I going where?" I heard a familiar voice from behind me. I knew it was Luke so I didn't look at him. I kept my eyes on Tyler.

"The gang's going to a club tonight. Interested?" Tyler said and I gave him a death glare. What in hell's name is he doing?!?!?

"Yea, sounds fun."

I grabbed my books and stormed off from the both of them. I must have been so fired up I didn't know that I bumped into someone.

"Oh sorry." I said and that blonde that Ash was checking out smiled at me.

"Its fine." She said and a guy came up and put his arm over her shoulder. "Payton this is my boyfriend Scott."

Boyfriend? Does Ashton know?

"Nice to meet you. I have to go to biology." I said and walked off.

The rest of the day went by pretty fast. Before I knew it, it was lunch time.

I walked up to the table and saw Ashton staring at the blonde again. I sat down next to him and cleared my throat to get his attention.

"Ya know she has a boyfriend right?" I said.

"Huh? Yea I know." He said and continued looking while he ate. I followed his eyes and realized that he wasn't looking at the blonde girl. Then it clicked.

He was looking at her incredibly handsome boyfriend.

That's why Calum was trying to get me to back off of it. Wow I'm such an idiot. I've known him forever and my gaydar wasnt going off at all.

"He's kinda cute huh?" I said and gave him a cheesy smile. He looked at me weird then smiled.

"Yea a bit." He said and we laughed.

"What's so funny?" Tyler asked sitting on the other side of me.

"She knows now." Ashton said and I just ignored Ty. Why did Tyler know before me?

He noticed.

"You can't still be mad at me." He said and then Luke sat at the table and Tyler lowered his voice. "I was just trying to be nice to the guy. I know he doesn't deserve it but he's still in the group."
