I really wanted to update when we got to 1.5k, and we're almost there so I'm updating in time :D

Chapter 21

Alex's POV

From: Michael<3

Do you want to go out? I want to talk.

That sounded bad, I wonder what he wanted to talk about.

Wait, that sounds bad. It's nothing bad, I promise lol

I laughed at how dorky Michael was and texted him back.

To: Michael<3

Sure :)

"Alex?" my mom called, from upstairs. I set my phone down on the counter and went upstairs to see what she wanted. I checked Henry's room first, but he was sitting in there by himself. He looked up to see me in the doorway, and I smiled at him. He gave me a small wave, and I returned it, going to my mother's room next. She was standing in front of the body mirror in casual jeans and a white flowy tshirt. She was finishing her make up.

"I have to go to a bookclub meeting. I finally found one here, and the ladies in it are even nicer than the ones who were in the bookclub I was in before we moved." she said, making sure her hair was perfect.

Bookclub was the type of thing my mom was into, she used to spend a lot of time writing but never had anything published.

"So, I have to watch Henry?" I asked, connecting the dots.

She nodded, "I'd appreciate it." she said, trying to convince me. I didn't mind.

"Yeah, I will." I said. "Michael wanted to go out, is it okay if I take Henry with me?"

"Sure." she responded. "Thanks, I'll see you when I get back."

My mom left the room and I followed her out, grabbing my phone off of the counter as she left the house. I quickly texted Michael, going upstairs to Henry's room.

My mom went out, so Henry is with me. Is that ok?

From: Michael<3

Of course.

"Do you want to go out with Michael and I?" I asked Henry, sitting down on his bed.

He nodded anxiously, seeming excited. "It's pretty chilly out," I said, "so you're gonna need a jacket."

Michael lived about ten minutes (driving) away, so I figured we might as well get ready now. I grabbed my thin purple coat from my room, and picked up Henry's black one from the hallway. I helped him put his shoes on, since he couldn't tie the laces on his own. He almost had it, but he would never get it tight enough for them to stay.

Soon enough, there was knocking on the door. I opened it up to reveal Michael standing there. He was wearing black skinny jeans (like usual, it's what their band mostly wore) and a blue coat. I could see a red shirt under it, but barely.

"Michael!" Henry said in excitement, I could tell he really liked him which made me so happy. Henry ran over to him and Michael crouched down to give him a hug.

"Hey little guy, how've you been?" Michael asked.

"Good! I got a new toy yesterday." Henry explained.
