Alex's POV

Sure, Christmas just happened, but it wasn't like that would make me forget about what I saw at the motel with Luke.

I couldn't stop thinking about it. Every time I saw my mom in the house my mind would scream to tell her I saw it and ask her what the hell she was thinking cheating on my father- her husband. And when I see my dad, rarely, it screams "tell him! tell him! tell him!" but I can't!

It was stressing me out, and I hated being at home because when I saw them it reminded me even more. I was sitting in my bedroom with the door locked, because I didn't want to talk to anyone unless it was Henry knocking on the door.

My phone buzzed beside me, I quickly picked it up, seeing Luke texted me.

From: Luke

Need someone to talk to, busy?

Finally, a reason to leave.

To: Luke

Where are you?

From: Luke

My house, you can come over.

To: Luke

Be there soon.

It was kind of weird how Luke and I had gotten closer, but I didn't mind it. Besides Michael, I had no one to really talk to so it was nice. I know I could count on the rest of the boys, and I hoped they felt the same way about me.

I made my way to Luke's house and knocked on his door, he quickly opened it up, letting me in. His hair was messy, and he was still wearing pajamas.

"Couldn't get dressed?" I teased.

"Oh shush," he said, with a smile. He walked into the living room, me following.

"What do you need to talk about?" I asked, betting it was about Payton.

"Well... it's something I did." he said, sounding nervous about it. "Something bad."

"Like what?"

"I-I don't know how to say it." he said, running his hands through his hair.

"C'mon Luke, you said you needed to talk." I said trying to calm him down. "Just come out and say it, it's fine."

"But Alex, what I did isn't fine." he said.

"You didn't commit a crime did you?" he shook his head and I laughed. "Okay, good."

"Payton is going to freak out when she finds out. I'm freaking out telling you, how am I going to tell her?!"

"Tell her what?"

"I cheated on her." he blurted out, his eyes wide. He looked down at his feet, embarrassed.

"Luke! How could you do that?!" I said, feeling disappointed and angry at him. What was up with everyone cheating lately?! I couldn't take it.

"Don't freak out!" he begged. "Please, I know it's bad. I told you because I trust you."

"But how? If you don't want to be with her then break up with her!" I ordered.

"I do want to be with her, I just- I don't know what happened! She wasn't talking to me during the whole thing with her mom and I was pissed at Tyler. It just happened." he said, putting his head in his hands.

"I can't believe you would do this."

"Alex, please! Calm down." he said. "Wait, is this because of your mom?"
