C h a p t e r 31

The pressing thought of going to school made me feel annoyed. I haven't seen Nixon since we went to the beach, we haven't even texted. I don't really know how to feel about that. 

I already had a shower and was making my way downstairs. Mum was in a good mood. She's been pretty happy to learn that Jordan and Hudson are dating, my Dad being the Dad he is, decides to crush an apple in front of his face as a warning, so if Hudson makes Jordan upset he's screwed.

"Goodbye peasants" I salute swinging my school bag on my back

"MAKE SURE TO BRING THE TREE LOOKING BEING AROUND" Mum hollars

"GOODBYE" I respond not thinking about her last words

I then begin to make my way to school. It was a good thing I left at a reasonable time, as now I didn't have to run around like a lunatic just to get to there.

Most of the day flew past by like a breeze, it was now my second favourite part of the day, which was lunch, I mean going to Berries tops it. Now thinking about it, it felt like a million years since I had a milkshake.

I met my friends at the table, about half an hour later just because Mr Jones, my form tutor kept me behind to help him sort out some folders. I found the others, they had their trays filled with your typical school food. I squeezed in between Lake and Daniel. 

"Lana where the hell have you been" April asked

"Mr Jones made me stay beind and help him sort some folder out" I answer

"peek" Daniel comments

"my arms kill ya know, I had to carry around like five heavy boxes of crap"

"hopefully your arms don't hurt for too long" Emily mumbles

"thank you"

Emily nods in response

"Hey Lana any updates on Judson" April says her eyes twinkled

"Didn't you ask me this in English"

"Well yeah obviously I did but can you just repeat what you said to me earlier"

"Hudson took Jordan out on a date" I say

"Oh my geeeee" she squealed just like the first time I told her

"I'm going to force details out of them" April adds after she stops squealing rubbing her hands together

"Of course you are" Lake yawned taking a sip of his water

April nudge his shoulder

"Why you so glum chum" April asked looking very concerned

"Its nothing" mumbled playing with his food

"Well of course it's something" she replies 

"Insomnia sucks"

"How much sleep did you get last night many" Daniel questions

"Probably an hour tops, I don't know" Lake answers

"I have some tunes on my phone, I mean they help me fall asleep, maybe they might help you" April suggests

"I don't know" Lake yawns again as he oddly lays his head on Aprils lap

"You're comfy" he mumbles

I'm sure that if he wasn't half as tired he would not being doing anything like this, in all honestly I'm sure his face would be a bright red or at least his ears would be.
