Trent's P.O.V

She said I was plain boring? I guess I'm gonna make her fall for me hard. I went to the mall and bought various styles. I've seen them on t.v being on sales. I'll show her what I'm capable of. I headed over to Macy's shoe sale and bought me some Nike and converses. I headed home up to my room and took off my stupid suit and tie and changed onto Navy blue jeans, a blue long sleeve v-neck shirt and a Beanie. I wore blue converses to match and walked back downstairs to my car. I didn't wear my glasses.

'Show her what we got bro' I smiled "With pleasure" Speeding back to the parking lot I got out. Everyone was in class and I walked in with my bag slunged over my shoulder. Everyone stared in my direction "Who is that?" I may not have muscles but at least I got a brain. A'leah stared at me "Trent? Is that you?" She whispered. I smiled "Yup" The teacher turned to us "Mr. Adams nice of you to join us. Since you took your time,explain the purpose of English literature in the Elizabethan Era. I smiled and replied in a simple yet calm statement.

"I didn't know Trent was hot underneath that geek look." I heard Myra whisper to Danielle Thompson

They were part of Kayla's popular circle. I felt A'leah stare at me numerously. When the bell rang "Class dismissed" We walked out and a bunch of girls said hi to me. I couldn't help but smile at my accomplishment. "And they finally said hi to you" A'leah said while rolling her eyes. I chuckled "You okay?" She smiled then frowned "Look whose here" I followed her gaze and there she was.

My beautiful girl making her way towards us. "Hey beautiful" Kyle smiled. She hugged "Hey Kyle." 'Kill him already' Luke threatened. I sucked in a breath and made my way towards her til A'leah stopped me.

"Where are you going?" She asked with an eyebrow raised up. "Um I'm going to my mate." She smiled sweetly "But I'm your mate" I chuckled "No, my mate is Kayla." Kayla came towards "Kyle this is my mate Trent." In a heartbeat A'leah held my face and she kissed me. Right in front of my mate! I pulled away "What the hell is wrong with you?!" I yelled while everyone watched us. I looked at Kayla and tears were falling down her cheeks. "Kayla I " she ran off. I tried to run after her but Kyle stopped me "Dude just give her a minute. I'll talk to her for you." I nodded, watching him go after her.

I turned to A'leah and glared. 'Grab the necklace man.' I held onto the necklace and broke it off "You don't deserve this. I hate you!" I stalked off in the opposite direction. A'leah was messing with my head this whole time. I sighed looking at the necklace in my hand "Kayla I'm so sorry"

Kayla's P.O.V

I couldn't stop the tears from spilling out like rain. Why was seeing them kiss making me cry? 'Um maybe cause he's our mate.' 'Oh right. We're mates' I wiped the traitorous tears away when Kyle sat by my side. "Hey you" He smiled. I wrapped my arms around my legs. The bleachers felt chilly. Autumn was approaching fast when he hugged me on the side "He loves you you know" Kyle whispered gently. I leaned in "Yeah sure he does"I replied sarcastically but he chuckled "Give him a chance. Okay I'm gonna confess."

"Kayla we grew up together and we were best friends right?" I nodded "Yeah and ?" He smiled "Well before we moved away I had this crush on you. It was immense and whenever we were together you'd make me smile." Weird? I know I'm shocked too. He chuckled "Don't worry though I'm over it. You're my best friend and I'm glad you got him to protect you. He didn't do it anyways it was that girl's fault" I just stared ahead onto the field. "You need to talk to him Kay." I couldn't help but smile "That was my favorite name when I was a little girl now I'm use to Kayla." he kissed my head "You need him you know. I'll go talk to him."

I looked up to him "Thanks Kyle." He patted my head "Anything for my best friend" He left me to think and I was really glad Kyle came back to help me.

Trent's P.O.V

I didn't care about class hearing the bell ring. I was too lost in thoughts about her. "Kayla, what am I doing wrong?" I wondered out loud "You're just sitting there and doing nothing if you're gonna ask me." I sat up and Kyle grinned.

"Hey man" he greeted "Sup" I replied throwing pebbles around. "Dude, are you serious gonna sit here and sulk?" I looked at him "Sure why not?" He sighed "You're an idiot. She's waiting for you to do something. And all you're doing is sit here and wait for her." I threw a pebble at him "What else am I suppose to do?" I asked. he took off his shoe and threw it but missed terribly. I chuckled "Idi-" bang! "Got you now get the hell up and go to her already."

I stood up "Okay where is she?" He smiled "Now that's what I'm talking about" she's on the bleachers." I thanked him and took off to the bleachers. I got there and no one was there. "Kayla?" I said out loud

but no one replied back. I looked again til I saw something glint in the sun 'What is that?' Luke asked as I got closer "Its Kayla's phone." Her scent was there but mixed with something else. 'Rouges?' I asked but Luke let out a snarl 'No its a pack.'
