Chapter 22

"Come" Damon commands to Tulip as he holds her hand, walks towards a sofa and pulls her on his lap.

"What are you doing?" she asks not so comfortable sitting on his lap in front of his family.

"Why, what happened?" he asks with a frown as she pushes her hair behind her ear as she looks around uncomfortably.

"Are you ashamed to be sitting with me?" he asks with narrowed eyes and she stares at him.

"It's not like that"

"Then how is it?"

"It's so useless to talk with you at times"

"Fine sit wherever your ass pleases," he states as he looks away from her and she sighs.

Tulip slowly makes her way to sit beside Gabby who puts her legs on the empty seat.

"This seat is reserved for my best friend," she states before pointing towards Nicholson's side.

"Here" Throne sighs as he gets up from his seat and let Tulip sit as both of them knows Nicholson is the last person in the room they both want to seat next to.

"When is your lover boy showing up?" Gage asks as he glares at his sister.

"Before I bury you alive," she snaps at him.

"Can you both not keep quiet for a while without fighting like a cat and mouse?" Damon scolds them both and both of them point out at each other before looking away as Damon glares at them.

"So I heard you involved the pack," Nicholson comments making Damon sigh.

"Yeah"

"What pack?" Gabby asks as she looks from Damon to Nicholson for answer.

"Damon runs a pack called Alpha Male, big sister"

"I never heard that gang name when did you form it?" Gabby questions making Gage roll his eyes.

"We do not tell everything to everyone" he cannot help but comment.

"What kind of gang is this Damon?" Gabby ignores Gage and asks Damon straight.

"Someone you do not have to worry about Gabby and as Gage said not everything is discussed with everyone" he smiles as he easily puts aside his sister queries before he looks at Nicholson pointedly.

"And the Alpha Male pack's topic is not open for discussion," he states seriously making Nicholson stare at him in a bore.

"All these secrets are making me hungry" Gabby sighs as she puts her hand under her chin and sighs.

"I will go make something" Tulip softly speaks as she slowly walks out of the group and all the while she can feel Damon's eyes on her back but she dare not turn to face him.

Tulip pulls out few eggs from the fridge before she searches for some sausages, putting it all aside she starts the coffee before she searches for a pan. Standing on her toes, she tries to pull out the pan but someone else reaches for her before her and without facing him, she knows Damon was the one.

Without a word, Damon lights the gas, put the pan on it before he brings out few veggie from the fridge and washes it. Tulip sensing his anger faces away from him and pulls out the cups and plates while Damon cuts the vegetables in silence.

He pushes her a bit as he starts to mix the veggies with the egg pour some oil in the pan and every time she goes or tries to help him, he reaches for the things himself without a word.
