Chapter 09

"I need help"

"I am not mom," Katie laughs as she finds her big brother at the front of her door.

"I know that's why I asked you" he smiles walking inside before giving her a bear hug.

"So, what help does my big brother needs?" she asks curiously making him sigh.

"To win back Tulip," he admits making her gasp.

"Is it safe to assume that she is...?"

"Yes, even I cannot believe how stupid I am" he admits once again before both of them take a seat.

"Tell me everything about it," she asks holding his hand with a gleam in her eyes.

"You are acting like Gabby" he frowns making her giggle.

"Maybe she is rubbing off on me," she grins before, once again asking him to continue and continue he does.

"Wow, you really have messed up did you not? Like father, like son huh?" she teases reminding him of how his own father Damien Price had made their mother suffer for the ten years by acting as if he was dead while all along being right besides her.

"At-least, I made it two years earlier than dad" he winks taking her words lightly as he knows his sister meant well.

"Okay, I will help but on one condition"

"Should I worry?" he asks and she shakes her head no.

"Just, don't hurt her again" is all, his sister asks and his heart melts at her words.

"Don't grow up so fast little Katie, stay little for your brother's sanity, just for a while" he sighs as he hugs his sister scared of the world they live in; worried it will ruin their lives.

"I am right here, Damon, not going anywhere" she smiles at his protectiveness.

Tulip halts in her step as she stares wide-eyed, Damon walking her way and she gets scared at the ferocity in which he was walking towards her.

She has no idea what made her run but she did all the way towards her room, to hide away from him, as the urge was too strong.

"Got you" Damon breathes in her ear as he wraps his arms around her and a shrill scream leaves her mouth.

"Why were you running?" he asks with a chuckle as he let her go.

"What are you doing here?" she counters as she steps far away from him.

"To fulfill my promise"

"What promise?" she asks with a frown, as she does not remember him making any.

"The one where you will end up with me" he clearly states making her eyes go wide.

"I am not going anywhere with you"

"We will see," he challenges.

Five minutes into it and Tulip finds herself sitting behind him on the bike and clutching his shirt tightly as he drives away from her brother's house at full speed.

Tulip scared for her life shuts her eyes tightly, as no words escape her mouth, in her whole twenty-six years of life never has she ridden a bike nor has clung to any man the way she was holding onto Damon, and the bastard was enjoying it way too much.

"Open your eyes Tulip, we are here" Damon speaks as he rubs her hand slowly.

"I am never going to ride with you again," she shakily states making him laugh.
