James ran home that night in tears, and luckily, his mother was working late, so she wouldn't be home until a couple more hours. So, the older boy simply ran to his room, and bawled. He couldn't believe what he had done to poor Aleksandr. Not only had he practically lied, but he hurt him. He hurt him emotionally and physically. He never wished to hurt Aleksandr, but what he was saying, it was madness. But it was the truth.

James slid down his bedroom door, after slamming it shut and brought his knees up to his chin as he slowly rocked back and forth, in a ball position. All of his thoughts flew around him in a jumbled mess.

What will your friends think? Oh, yeah. You said 'her' name was Aleksandria.

Your mother will never, ever love you again.

Aleksandr doesn't deserve you.

But one stood out most importantly. Probably because it was Aleks' voice.

Your father will never be proud of this.

James continued his break down even when his mother came home, and by that time, he had crawled into bed, still lightly sobbing. His sharp intakes of breath and hiccups were all that could be heard when his mother entered the dark room. There James laid, curled into the covers, facing away from the door. He couldn't look at anyone, nor couldn't he talk to anyone. And he didn't.

The older boy was unsure of how long he had actually stayed there. It felt like forever. Yet, he stayed put, hiccuping and sobbing to himself, and eventually, he cried himself to sleep.

The next morning James' mother let him stay home again. He had stayed home that night with Aleksandr, but she didn't know that. James' mother is a working woman. All she really does is work. She hardly is home anymore, so James gets away with quite a few things. Like, staying home, for the second day in a row. It was Friday, though, and James could easily text his friends and ask what the homework was and do it over the weekend. Though, the problem was, James didn't care about homework. Nor did he care about school, his friends, his mother, nor himself.

He just cared about Aleksandr. And how bad he hurt him.

James couldn't get the scene out of his dreams. Continuously seeing Aleks' pain filled eyes, before he fled.

So, not needing to say, James had no sleep.

At one point, during James' action of laying on the bed in tears, the doorbell rang. He wasn't going to answer it, but they just kept ringing the damn bell and knocking.

James finally shouted, "Alright. Alright! I'm fucking coming!"

The knocking abruptly stopped when James yelled, and when the older man swung the door open, no one was there. When he poked his head out to investigate for anyone, he found nothing but a crumbled piece of paper. He gripped the paper, shut the door, and unraveled the note.

I know what's going on, James. Meet me at the ice cream shop down town tomorrow. We need to talk about who really 'Aleksandria' is. And why her, or should I say he, is named 'Aleksandr'.

-Seamus

James cursed under his breath, and sighed. Rubbing his hand through his hair again, which was becoming a bad habit. He wouldn't of gotten in the shower to get ready for tomorrow if it wasn't his best friend. Besides, James needed to man up, and stop avoiding the problem.
