James ended the day quickly, wanting to get the next day over with already. He just wanted to find out how the hell Seamus knows, and if he told anyone else. Then, James can just slowly slither back down into the covers he has spent the past 2 days in. Today, though, things had to be said and done, thus bringing him to the parking lot of the ice cream shop. He wasn't one to drive anywhere, yet he took his old car his mother got him that he never used. He hated driving. After all, his father was killed while driving a military jeep.

James was brought back to reality when a nice waitress had asked him what he would like. He gave a small smile and just asked for a soda. He didn't pay much attention to anything she had said. James was too busy looking at the bit of her arm. It didn't have timer on it, but it wasn't bare. It had bruises. Bruises that looked like hand marks. Like she was gripped so hard it caused a deep purple-ish blue-ish coloring to her fairly pale skin.

That made James shutter.

But, James pushed the thought out of his mind. He didn't want to think of hurting Aleksandr again, or how the bruising looked on his pale skin, and how it would look if he were to go into blackness again. That's all James remembered when his hand collided with Aleks' face. Just blackness. James shuttered again. He hated thinking about. So, he pushed the thought from his mind.

The lady had come back with his drink, this time with her sleeves rolled down to her wrists. She must have noticed James staring. The older boy didn't drink much of his soda, but mostly stirred the carbonated liquid with his straw, watching the ice swirl around as the water had a tornado effect.

It felt like hours when James finally heard the little bell ringing of the door opening. Though, he could not see if it was, in fact, Seamus, for he was facing away from the door. He didn't think that it would be anyone else, so when someone else sat in front of him, he almost knocked over his drink.

"Hey." The boy said casually.

James panicked, but kept his voice at a moderate level. "What the fuck are you doing here?!"

"I've come to tell you it's okay." The younger boy still held a calm manner.

"You can't just show up like this, Aleks!" James whispered panicking, "I'm waiting for Seamus!"

"Who is that? Why are you waiting for him?" Aleks said, almost too innocently.

"I, uh, need to explain things with him."

"What things?" Aleks pushed.

"Uh-"

"Hello, Sir, what would you like?" The waitress came back, cutting Aleks off.

"Oh, I just want a Pepsi." Aleks smiled casually.

The lady wrote down his order and rushed off, as Aleks nodded towards James, awaiting his answer.

"I need to explain to him about us." James said quickly.

"Well, good thing I'm here instead."

"And what is that supposed to mean?"

"Your drink, Sir." The waitress came back, placing Aleksandr's drink on the table, "Would you like anything to eat?"

"It means I put the letter at your door." Aleks ignored the lady, continuing on.

"What?" James ignored the lady as well, his voice rising in both anger and volume, "You don't even know where the fuck I live! How do you know Seamus?!"

"You act as though I can't find my way around town."

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean stalking me and my friends!"

"Your friends were talking about you in the fucking street one day, asshole!"

"I'll just, come back, later..." The waitress walked away slowly, leaving the two men arguing.

"What do you mean 'talking about me in the street'?"

"On the way to prom!" Aleks shouted, "They fucking passed me up saying things about your fucking soul mate!"

Aleks slammed his fists down on the table, and stomped out the door. He didn't run, instead he just pulled out a pack of Marlboro's and stuck one in his mouth, lighting it up. James watched Aleks puff out a cloud of smoke through the glass windows, and soon threw a twenty on the table and followed him outside.

"What the fuck are you doing?" His voice was more calm, but he was still annoyed.

"I'm taking a god damn smoke, what does it look like?" Aleks said.

James sighed, and ran his fingers through his hair. "What do you want to talk about?"

Aleks looked at James confused. "What?" He held the cigarette in between his fingers.

"You had to have made me come here for some reason."

"Oh, yeah." Aleks muttered, flicking the cigarette after taking another puff, and stomping it on the ground, "Can we go to my place?"

James nodded, walking to his car. "All aboard." He said entering the old pick up.

Aleks chuckled, and opened the car door, sitting down in the passenger seat.

The car ride was quiet, yet it was fairly short as well. They only had to go a few blocks until reaching the road of Aleks' house, and soon, drove into the long driveway. Aleks jogged ahead of James, who was locking his car, and opened the front door with his keys.

"Welcome." Aleks said as James walked inside. The younger boy closed the door behind him and sat down on the couch. James followed slowly.

He could see Aleks' bruise easily in the new lighting. James choked up, wanting to reach out and caress the broken skin, but he stopped himself. He didn't want the same thing to happen again. James didn't realize how long he was staring until Aleks broke the silence.

"It's okay, James."

James hesitated, watching Aleks' face for a moment, which held a smile and glossy eyes. He brought his hand to the young boy's face, lightly rubbing his thumb over the harsh colors. Aleks didn't even flinch. As if he wanted James' touch. James let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, and suddenly embraced Aleks. Aleks was shocked, but hugged back when he heard James sniffle behind him.

"It's okay," Aleks kept reassuring him, "It'll be okay."

James embraced the boy tighter. "I'm so sorry."

"I'm sorry too, James."

Three cheers to a long chapter! Should I just keep making them long? I probably will start making them long like this, anyway. Maybe. Hope you all enjoyed! I made sure to do this one first. And I promise, this relationship is going to take a while. (:
