James and Aleks didn't talk about what happened after the apologized to each other. They both had a mutual thing to just brush it off. Besides, if their relationship will ever happen, they both need focus on the good. Even if there is only a slither of it.

Both boys sat on the couch, watching television, when Aleksandr came up with an idea.

"James?"

"Hmm?" James hummed.

"We've never actually, y'know, done something together..."

James snapped his head toward Aleks giving him a nervous, shocked expression. "What do you mean...?"

Aleks understood what he was thinking immediately. "No! No! Don't think that-"

"Oh, okay. I'm just not ready for that-"

"I meant like, dinner. Like, a date." Aleks said quickly.

James looked back at the television, thinking. "That's true."

There was a silence, then Aleks spoke up once again. "So?"

James hesitated. "I mean, I guess. It's up to you, dude."

Aleks smiled widely and stood, smacking his hands on his thighs. James looked confused. "We're going now?"

"Yes," Aleks grabbed his keys, wallet, and coat, "Come on. It's on me."

James turned off the television and walked out the open door, and walked to his own truck.

"Ah. Ah. Ah." Aleks stopped him, "My car." He smiled.

James sighed playfully and walked to Aleksandr's car, getting into the passenger seat. Aleks got in, and pulled out of the gravel driveway. The car ride wasn't quiet at all this time. It was filled with pointless conversations and giggles. And James continuously asking where he was taking the two young men.

"It's a surprise. You'll see." Aleks said.

James would groan exaggeratedly and continue with the pointless topics. In the back of his mind he wondered what the real reason why Aleks wanted to take him on a 'surprise dinner' right after a big argument. They apologized and all, but it seemed unreal. Yet, James went along with it.

It was around seven o'clock once they finally reached the restaurant. It looked fancy. More fancy than your typical nice restaurant. Aleks exited the car in a fit of laughter from their stupid jokes, and James followed. The two boys walked in and got a nice, private booth. The seemed really out of place in their jeans and t-shirts, but they didn't mind. The waiter came with the drinks they ordered and they ordered their meal. Then, they were left to converse.

"Aleks, this is a really nice place," James said, "How the hell did you even afford it?"

"My parents send me money on top of the job I do. My parents are doctors. They send a lot of money." Aleks smiled.

James was going to question as to why he said 'parents' when his mother died, but figured his father might have remarried. Besides, he didn't want to ruin dinner this early.

The two boys held a conversation all through out waiting for their food and during eating. Once the two had finished, James couldn't help the question tugging at his lips.

"So, why'd you bring me here?" James felt like an asshole asking, but he needed an answer.

Aleks furrowed his eyebrows. "I can't take someone to dinner? I need an excuse?"

James shrugged. "No. I mean, it came out of no where and-"

"Look, I really like you, James. And if you're not at that point yet, that's okay. But for now, we need to get this relationship going somewhere. Because I want to go far with you, James. Because, I really like you."

James hesitated a moment. "I know, Aleksandr." He smiled.
