Pain.

The first thing I register upon awaking is pain.

I look around, seeing I'm still in the backseat of my car. My wrists are tightly bound, the skin under the ropes feeling burnt. I try to move my feet discreetly, finding they're bound too. I look up in the review mirror, and see nothing. It is angled at me though.

I slowly lay back down, thinking of everything. The car isn't going very fast I don't think, if I were to jump out I probably wouldn't be too hurt. I can't hear any other cars, we must be driving on a secluded road.

I close my eyes tightly as a wave of pain crashes against my skill behind my eyes, making my brain feel like it just hopped in a blender. " Hurt?" I hear, making me hesitantly open my eyes. The man is making eye contact with me in the review mirror, having adjusted it. "Yes," I spit, glaring at him. He chuckles.

" Go back to sleep Moon."

" How do you know my name?" I ask instead of listening to him. He ignores me, driving. " We've been together before," he finally answers through gritted teeth. " No we haven't. I don't know who you are, or what you want. I don't know you," I insist. He suddenly brakes, making me jerk forward, nearly falling off the seat.

" You know me," he growls, turning around in his seat to glare at me. " You know me, and I'll make you remember me," he says. I stare at him in utter fear. " I don't know you, I'm sorry," I whisper. He stares at me before breathing in through his nose deeply. " You do. You just don't remember," he says. I stare at him as he turns back around, starting the car and driving.

" What's your name?" I ask after a while, feeling like I have enough confidence. He doesn't answer for a while again, staring ahead at the road I guess. " Kai." So he was who they were talking about earlier. Why didn't they want him to know about me? I finally decide to take his earlier advice, squirming into a more comfortable position.

I see his eyes flick to me in the review mirror before going back to the road. " Why don't they want you to know about me?" I ask. He's silent. " Are you dangerous?" I continue. " We all are." I pause for a moment. " Are you going to hurt me?" I ask hesitantly, holding my breath for his answer.

I have to let out a loud breath, as he is silent again. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Does that mean he may hurt me? I just have to assume he will.

I slowly close my eyes, trying to force my body to sleep. But I just can't sleep, knowing there is a clear threat near me. I just decide to leave my eyes closed, hoping that maybe my body will grant me mercy and fall asleep.

" Hey. Yes, I have her with me. Yes, she's alive you fucking idiot," Kai hisses. I flinch, before frowning. He's not talking to me. No shit, hes on the phone.

" We'll be home in a few hours. I'll see you when we get there. Bye." I go back to staying still, hoping he didn't notice me eavesdropping. " Shut up!" I jump again, trying to play it off. " Shut the fuck up you don't know shit!!" Kai continues screaming. I guess the caller didn't let him hang up just yet. I hear him throw something in the passenger seat, probably his phone.

" I know you're awake."

" It's not rocket science," I say simply, opening my eyes. He looks at me again in the review mirror. " Eavesdropping is rude, Moon." " So is kidnapping someone." " Who is Jackson?" I'm taken aback by the abrupt question, not answering. He glances at me in the review mirror again. " I believe I asked you a question." " I know," I spit sharply, glaring holes in the back of his head.

" Well questions have answers that go with them," he says. " Why do you want to know?" I ask. He's silent for a while. " Why don't you want to tell me?" He asks me. " Questions have answers that go with them," I mock, glaring at him as he clearly avoided my question. I see his hands tighten on the steering wheel before he does that same breathing thing, relaxing his entire body slightly.

" You really don't want to make me angry Moon." " What, will you turn big and green?" My eyes widen slightly; my mouth just had a mind of it's own. I watch his every move, waiting for him to snap on me. He slows down the entire car, driving at a constant pace. I watch as he clicks something and turns, the car still driving on its own.

He reaches for something in the glove compartment, my stomach turning and flopping as I see the unmistakable glint of metal. He pulls out a knife, decent size and very, very sharp. He doesn't even flinch as he pricks his finger on the edge, a ridiculous amount of blood pouring out his wound. Just imagining what the knife can do on forceful contact makes me panic.

" K-" " Shut up." He holds a finger up in my direction, smiling sweetly. He's suddenly on top of me, straddling my hips. " Get off of me!!!" I scream, bucking my hips to throw him off. He waits patiently for me settle down, staring at the knife in his hands. " You my dear, have such a sharp tongue. Did ' Jackson' sharpen it over time?" He spits.

I glare at him, falling silent. He smiles. " That's okay. Even the sharpest objects can be dulled," he says. I scream as he quickly pulls his arm down, the knife aimed at my stomach. My eyes hesitantly open after a while, having felt relief instead of a searing pain.

I look down, seeing my bonds cut. I slowly sit up, untying the rope around my ankles with shaky hands. I look up, seeing Kai smirking at me.

" I'll get you dull in no time baby, I promise."
