29: Do Not Look Back

I stare out the window at the rain whipping past us. The car is filled with soft music, slightly aiding in relaxing my muscles. Kai and I haven't said a word since we left. How could we, when there's another person on the list of the dead?

Kai and I leave Kyungsoo in my room, quickly going around hall after hall, trying to get to the garage as quickly as possible. "Come on, just one more door then we're out," he says with a smile, pulling me along with more urgency.

I asked him why we couldn't just teleport and he said they have sensors for his power so it'd be easier to just run. I began to feel uneasy as we walk towards the door, constantly glancing over my shoulder. "Kai," I whisper pulling him to a stop. "What? Moon, we have to go," he says, pulling me again. But I stop him.

"No Kai, something's wrong. Don't you feel it?" I ask. He stares at me in confusion and slight worry. "Moon, we have to go," he insists, pulling me forcibly. "Kai-" I feel him before I see him. The heat.

Next thing I know I'm being slammed against the wall, eyes of literal fire burning into my own. Chanyeol strangles me, his hands burning into the skin of my neck. I struggle to scream, trying to rip his hands off. I gurgle in surprise as his hands burn my own. "You killed him!!!" He screams at me, a tear rolling down his face. "I loved you and you killed him!"
