25: A Ring

~ Yomi Moon ~

The shadow is soon revealed to be two people, one dragging the other. The first person standing drags the other to a enclosure like my own across from me, opening the door and throwing the other gruffly on the ground. There's a click of a lock and the first person leaves. As I watch him, I realize he looks familiar.

My familiarity of the unknown person vanishes as I hear Zizi whimper a name. "Lu? LuLu?" My head snaps up and I quickly scoot to the front of my prison, sticking my face to the bars. "Luhan?" I call quietly. The body in front of me jerks, and there's a low, pained groan. "Moon?..." His voice. It's the voice from my head.

"That you are right; I am the one who talked to you in your head a few weeks ago," he mumbles, struggling to push his body up into a sitting position.

"Are you alright?" I ask hesitantly, already knowing the answer. "As I always tell Tao; not right now, but I will be eventually," he answers. Now I see how he could be the wise one as well, he's careful but honest with his answers. "But the real question is, are you alright?" he asks. I simply nod, and he repeats my actions in understanding.

" I assume you don't know why you're down here?" he says after a moment. "No," I answer quietly. He hums. "It was Sehun." I frown at him. "I know he drugged me. But why?" I ask. He sighs deeply. "He...he's trying to hurt, someone, someone close to you,...he's trying to convince him,..." he says.

"Who? Who is he trying to convince? Who is he trying to hurt?" I ask frantically, but all I receive is a groan. "Moon, I need to rest. I'll try to read more when I wake, but it won't be easy, and it'll take time," he says. I nod in understanding, feeling slightly guilty for my rushed behavior.

"I'm sorry, I'm sure Kai hurt you pretty bad, you do need rest," I say, leaning against the wall. He smiles softly at me. "Thank you Moon, you should probably get some sleep as well," he says, laying down on the hard, cold floor. I copy his actions, closing my eyes.

But even as I do, I can't sleep. All these scenarios flare back up in my head. The only person they can hurt is Jackson. Is that who Sehun is trying to convince of something? What would he be convincing him of? Coming here as a trap? Hurting me? What will he do to him? Luhan said he wanted to hurt someone close to me,..but what if he kills him?

"Moon, I know you're worried, but I need you to calm down. Your emotions are emitting so strongly, it's draining me. Please, calm down and try to clear your mind. I won't promise Jackson will be okay, but I will promise that I will help you know anything," Luhan says. I nod.

"But the only way for me to help you know anything, you have to let me rest," he says. "Okay. I'm sorry," I say again, feeling some of the worry slip off of my shoulders for a bit. "Good. Now go to sleep, you need rest." I nod again, closing my eyes.

This time the questions stay at the back of my head, and my body relaxes into the floor.

I wake to an obvious commotion. Commotion meaning, there's a boy flying around the front of my cage. My eyes widen and I rub them harshly, trying to wake up. But no, this boy is still flying. Like his feet are not touching the ground.

I watch as he picks up who I recognize as Chen and slams him into the wall. Chen crumbles to the floor, knocked unconscious. The boy quickly makes contact with the floor again, rushing over to Zizi and Luhan's cages, unlocking them.

"Come on we have to hurry; they're going to notice he's gone soon," the flying boy says, grabbing Zizi and Luhan. "Wait!" Luhan says, pulling his arm from the flying boy's grip. "Lu, we don't have time for-" When his eyes land on me, they widen considerably. "Moon?!" he exclaims, coming over to the cage. I grip the bars tightly.
