Monster: Sequel To "Relax..."

30: Damn Mami Nature

Warning: Intense shit, like seriously. Could be triggering.

I'm woken by storming.

Not an easy one either. Not one that will pass within a short time.

A violent, angry, and distressed one. 

One sent to kill. 

"Who are you calling?" I ask curiously when I wake up in the middle of the night to Kai dialing someone. He smiles at me. "Someone who can help me understand some of this."

Kai is still sleeping as soundly as you can during such a violent  storm, his slight twitching being the only sign that he's still alive. "Kai," I whisper as a crack of lightening shakes the hotel. He grunts, rolling over. "Kai," I say louder, hoping he'll finally get up. When all the electricity goes out with a bone-breaking pop, he finally awakes. He looks around before running to the window, immediately cursing wildly as he pulls the curtains shut. 

"Taemin? It's me, Kai." I watch as he sighs deeply. "Yes, you were right. Sehun and Chanyeol are dead...Taemin, I'm confused; how is that even possible?"

"Moon, we have to go, now," he says frantically, making my eyes slightly widen, realizing dawning on me. It's them.

"Kai, listen to me. The one they fall in love with is capable of killing them, dead or not. They can either kill them physically, as Moon did with Sehun, or there can be a slightly deeper connection in which the soul can die without having their lover touch them. Chanyeol and Moon were probably closer at some point, which is why that connection is there. It's also why you were able to um, ya know kill him and he really die."

Kai and I quickly get our things together, grabbing our bags as we rush out of our room. The emergency lights in the hotel throw haunting shadows on Kai's worried face as we go to the front desk, giving back the keys and basically fighting with the lady who is insisting that we stay. 

I'm sorry lady, but we have to go or we all die. 

"Moon can also bring them back. Because of the deeper connection with Chanyeol, she can channel that into bringing him back to life, per say. She will definitely be able to bring Sehun back, because of her ya know, stabbing him to death."

Kai and I run out to the garage, quickly spotting our car. I jump in as Kai puts away the bags, quickly joining me. "How did they find us so fast?!" I exclaim, putting on my seat belt as Kai starts the car. "I don't fucking know, but we need to go now," he mumbles, checking for my seat belt before putting on his own. 

Another booming crack of thunder and a dazzling strike of lightening sends Kai speeding out the garage. As we're clearly speeding the rain slams against the windshield, pelting furiously against the hood filling my ears with the constant drum. I get a heavy feeling of dread suddenly and instinctively grab Kai's hand, squeezing it tightly. He glances at me with a shaky smile before it immediately vanishes, replaced instead with a look of utter horror. 

"But, if you were to die Kai, she wouldn't be able to bring you back. It's not because you don't love her or something, but because she loves you. It's kinda like some Romeo and Juliet shit. It's how good ol' Mother Nature keeps balance among us."

"MOON GET DOWN-" 

I'm jerked to the left violently, the sound of bending, cracking, breaking metal filling the cold air to accompany me. The seat belt keeps me from flying out the left side of the windshield, but a scream rips through my mouth anyway. Gravity ceases to exist as I feel my body straining uncomfortably against the seat belt, my only connection to reality. What's going on?
