I have reached my 8th anniversary of professional improv. Yup for almost 8 long years I have trained, performed, and taught improv at one of the highest levels possible. And it feels pretty nice to become characters or to build a scene on the fly without stuttering.
From colleges to high school I have battled and collaborate with improvers to make shows for fun, and not even get a single some back in the process. Comedy doesn't pay, but it sure does bring a smile.
Just goes to show that even in the most simple idea like improv can drive you to keep going for a very long time.
