SELENA'S POV

"So I'll pick you up on my way to the party around 9 okay?" Taylor made sure of our plans.

It was finally Friday, after the first, but most stressful, week of school. Tonight was Jason's party and I had this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, but I wasn't sure what it meant. Justin and I have barely talked since Wednesday. He was acting differently. Almost as if I, all of a sudden, didn't exist to him in his mind. This bothered me more than anything. Every second, every minute, and every hour of the day was consumed by my complicated thoughts and feelings for Justin. Maybe he just didn't care for me anymore.

"Yeah, 9 is good. It'll give me enough time to buy something to wear." I said nodding.

"You haven't picked anything to wear yet?" Charity asked puzzled.

I shook my head. "No, I haven't had time. But right after school, I'll find something."

"Are you sure? You could borrow-"

"No really, it's okay." I interrupted Taylor reassuring her.

Moments later the class change bell rang and everyone started leaving the cafeteria. I said my bye's to Charity and Taylor as they left.

I sighed. I didn't want to see Justin, or even Jason. I felt uncomfortable around Jason. Barely knew him, yet I'm 'hanging out' with him tonight.

*Flashback*

"Whatever Justin." I rolled eyes and started to walk off.

"Wait you can't go to that party with Jason." I heard his voice pleading from behind.

"And why not?" I turned around.

"All he wants to do is get in your pants." He let out.

*End of Flashback*

I mean, I knew all Jason wanted to do was get in my pants.. But I needed to detach myself from Justin before I start to feel something serious for him. At the end of the day, Justin wants to do the same thing. To just get in my pants and leave.

I stood up from my lunch table and instead of walking to Chemistry, I went straight to my car.

Getting out of school, I was walking to the parking lot. While walking, I reached into my bag looking for for my car keys, when all of a sudden, a car started to back up from its parking space, almost running over me. I let out a scream, causing the car to come to an abrupt halt.

"Watch it dumbass!" I yelled, scared out of my mind.

The car quickly drove forward and back to its parking space. Seconds later, Justin came out of the driver's seat.

"Shit. My bad, I wasn't paying attention." Justin said, scratching the back of his head.

"Obviously." I rolled my eyes.

"Hey at least you're okay. That's all that matters."

"I know." I simply said, looking down.

I slightly looked up, noticing he was starting to smile, when he wiped it away quickly and cleared his throat. "So.. Not going to Chemistry either huh? Where's the good girl image?" Justin teased me.

"Shut up, I need to go buy  a few stuff." I said starting to walk over to my car.

"Right. Well uh- bye Sel." He said awkwardly, as I got in my car.

I got my keys, and inserted them in the ignition, twisting them. But, my car wouldn't start. I twisted and twisted but the engine wouldn't turn on the whole way. "No no no no!" I yelled and hit the steering wheel in frustration.

At the same time, Justin turned on his car and was ready to leave. Helpless and frustrated I called him.

"Justin wait!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, startling him from inside the car.

He looked over at me, and lowered his window. "Yeah?" He yelled over the roar of his engine.

I quickly got out of my car and walked over to him. "Uh- my car won't start and I'm not sure what to do." I said embarrassed.

"Just call the Auto company." He said.

"And what number is that?" I said followed by his chuckling.

JUSTIN'S POV

"Thanks for the ride Justin." A shy Selena spoke from the passenger seat as we drove out of the school.

After Selena's car had problems starting, I called the auto company for her and within an hour or so they were here towing her car. They had to take it in overnight to repair it.

"It's fine." I said looking straightforward.

Once again, I was frustrated. The past few days have been infuriating. I couldn't get Selena out of my head, which meant I couldn't sleep. I couldn't get rid of all these confusing emotions that I had bottled up within me. I didn't even have a name for them. I didn't know what to do, so I tried rejecting them. I was getting so high, I was surprised I wasn't flying at this point. And to add on, I was dying to talk to Selena, but I didn't know what to say, or how to speak. I've never felt so conflicted.

"So where to?" I asked Selena remembering she had to buy a few stuff.

"Uh- well- I had to stop by at the mall." She simply said.

'The party' I thought to myself as I nodded to Selena.

About 10 minutes later, we were parked at the mall and getting out of my car. Selena led the way, and we went inside.

"Justin?" Selena yelled from the dressing room.

"Yeah?" I said looking up from my phone. We were in one of the stores and Selena was trying on a dress for the party, in one of the fitting rooms as I waited in one of the seats outside.

"C-Can you uhm- can you come in here real quick?" She ask reluctantly.

I immediately jumped. "My pleasure." I smirked followed by Selena's yell.

"Don't be a douche and just come." She said impatiently.

I went over to her fitting room and the moment she opened the door, my eyes almost popped out my face. She had on a tight short black dress on that highlighted her amazing curves and pushed up her breasts. My eyes were glued on her.

"S-Sel y-you look uhm. You're so- I-I mean-" I was at a loss for words. No girl had ever left me so speechless that I looked stupid standing in front of her. "You look so hot." I finally said catching a small smile on her before she wiped it off.

"Can you please help me with the zipper. It's impossible to reach." She said turning around to face the mirror.

"Sure." I said walking up behind her. I took a hold of the zipper and pulled it down, slowly exposing her smooth back. All I wanted to do was rip the dress out of her and do her right then and there.

I looked up and me and Selena's eyes caught each other through the mirror. "Selena?"

"Yes?" She asked.

I leaned in closer to the crook of her neck and I felt her body tense up. "You're so beautiful." I whispered into her ear as her breathing got heavier. I lifted my hands and took a hold of her hips, pulling her back closer to me. I then planted a soft kiss on her shoulder, followed by a trail of more kisses getting closer and closer to her spot. As I kept kissing her neck, I smirked once I found her sweet spot. She started moaning in pleasure. "J-Ju-Just-in."

I kept on kissing her and moved up to nibble on ear, when all of a sudden, she took a hold of my left hand that was holding onto her hip. I stopped and looked up at the same time, she slowly opened her eyes returning back to reality.

"Justin, I think you should go back waiting outside for me." She coldly said with no emotion in her voice nor on her face.

I clenched my jaw in anger, realizing our moment was over. I took my hands off her hips, walking back to the waiting area. Moments later, she walked out of the fitting room, dress in hand. She walked past me without saying a word, but I followed behind.

Once she bought her dress, we silently walked back to the car. And the only words she said to me, were her address. The next 15 minutes were quiet. She sat in the passengers seat looking out the window, thinking hard. I drove down her street and turned into her driveway.

She unbuckled her seatbelt and turned to me. "Thank you." She simply said as she opened the car door and walked out, making her way to her house. The moment she got out, I leaned my head back and covered it with my hands. I was confused and angry. We had an amazing moment in the dressing room and now she was going to Jason's party to get with Jason. There was no way in hell I was going to let that happen.

I took out my phone and dialed Ryan's number. After a few beeps he answered. "Yo Ryan, what are you doing tonight?"

SELENA'S POV

I quickly made my way into my house and ran up the stairs to my room. I shut the door of my room shut behind me and collapsed on the floor frozen about what had happened at the mall. I ran my hand down the spots on my neck that Justin had kissed. That moment was amazing and crazy intimate. But, I had to stop it before things got out of hand. I've said it before and I had to keep reminding myself: 'Justin isn't good for me.'

My heart was beating so hard, I was surprised Justin couldn't hear it. The moment kept replaying in my head like a catchy song lyric. I decided to distract myself and throw myself into getting ready for the party.

I went into my bathroom, stripped down from all my clothes and took a shower. After my shower, I hair dried my hair and straightened it. Next step was makeup, which took me awhile because Baylor kept pounding on the bathroom door. Once I was done with makeup, I fitted myself into my dress and decided to call Taylor and tell her I was ready.

_______________________________________________

After a half hour later or so, Taylor came by my house and I said my bye's to mom, Gracie, and Baylor. I rushed in Taylor's car since it was ten and we were running late. I decide to keep quiet about Justin and I to Taylor since I didn't need to think about it even more than I already was.

Once we got to the party, we could hear the loud but yet muffled music from inside the house. Or should I say mansion? There was still a crowd of people gathered outside hanging out and waiting to go inside. Taylor and I made our way past the stares and across the yard to the entrance. We opened the door, and the noise from inside hit us like a punch in the face. It was crowded but the size of the house, still let there be space. The whole scene was eye opening. Everyone was drinking, everyone was smoking. The couches  and seats were full of makeout sessions, but the people dancing were even more on top of each other. Guys and girls making their way up and down the stairs and outside to the back yard were screams of people jumping into the pool.

"Hey sexy you made it!" Jason walked over to me and hugged me. I could smell the alcohol on him, but really, I could with everyone else too.

"Hey!" I greeted him.

"Oh hey Taylor, didn't know you were coming." Jason smiled over at Taylor.

"Hey Jason. Don't worry I'll leave you and Selena to business." Taylor smirked and walked away into the dancing scene.

JUSTIN'S POV

"Justin I really don't think we should be here." Ryan said from behind as we walked up to Jason's house.

I kept quiet but he kept insisting. "I don't think it's the right thing to-"

"And since when do I even do the right thing!" I turned around impatiently interrupting Ryan.

I turned back around and walked inside the house, welcomed by the typical high school party scene.

Immediately heads started to turn.
"Yo Justin's here!"
"What's he doing here?"
"Did Jason invite him?"
"Shit's about to go down!"
I heard people from the background as I looked around.

I turned around and signaled Ryan to follow me. Ignoring everyone who was trying to say hi, I walked around the house trying to find Selena. I checked the time. 11 P.M.

"Bro I can't find her." I said to Ryan.

"What do you wanna do now?" Ryan asked.

"Let's just get a beer and leave." I sighed.

We walked through the crowd and people and right to the kitchen and when I did, there she was.

She was in the corner drinking from a red cup. I ran my hand through my hair, making sure it was okay and ready to go talk to her, when all of a sudden, Jason came back. I clenched my jaw and my body tensed up. Ryan then came back with a couple a beers.

"We're staying here awhile." I said to Ryan, opening my bottle of beer. "And keep the drinks coming."
