Selena's POV

It was a couple of weeks since Justin's birthday and it was also the last day of school. The final bell had just rung and students flooded out of the school yelling and cheering that Summer had finally come.

I laughed looking around at everyone celebrating the end of the school year along with Romeo, as we walked out of the entrance of the school. During these past couple weeks, Romeo and I have spent more time together. He was really nice and caring. I didn't get why Justin disliked him. But, he never failed to show his disapproval everytime he saw me with him.

Romeo and I walked towards the parking lot and paused at the sidewalk.

"Damn can't believe by next year, we'll be gradutating seniors." Romeo said shocked.

"I know. It's crazy just to think about how different everything will be."

Romeo looked around for his car. "Oh there's my car." He smiled finally finding it. "Do you need a ride?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm leaving with Justin. He's serving his last detention of the year as a Junior." I chuckled.

"Well damn." Romeo chuckled. "You guys still going strong huh?"

"Yeah." I smiled thankfully. "Over seven months."

"Shit. That must be a huge milestone for him."

I giggled. "Yeah, he's really happy... I hope."

"Nah, I'm sure he's greatfull for you. If I had you, I wouldn't let you go for the world."

"Thanks Romeo." I said somewhat uncomfortable. I showed him a half smile. He always complimented me like this and I never knew what to say. "Hey can I ask you something?"

"Sure go ahead?"

"Howcome you and Justin don't get along so well?"

Romeo took a deep breath and let it all out before speaking. "Guessing he still isn't cool with me."

"I-I don't think so." I said reluctantly.

"Well, I'll tell you honestly what happened. Last year, I was new to the school. I didn't know anyone. But, everyone knew Justin. You know him. He's what everyone talks about. Mister popular." He said putting air quotes with his fingers when he said 'mister popular'. "I would see him walking around with a new girl almost everyday." He chuckled before turning a bit serious. "I really wanted to be like him. He seemed really confident and in control of what he was doing. So, I tried becoming friends with him. I got his trust, and he helped me out with a lot of with girls."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "You guys were so close. What went wrong?"

"His girls started to turn on him. They knew his tricks, they knew his intentions. So they started hating him. They started talking bad about him. And since they knew I was friends with him, but I wasn't like him, they came to me. That's when Justin got angry. He thought I was stealing them from him and trying to take him out of the picture. He thought I was ruining his reputation of him to everyone. So he dropped me as a friend."

"Aw Romeo." I looked at him with pity.

"Yeah." He looked down upset. "Justin was such a good friend of mine. I didn't know such a misunderstanding could go such a long way. I miss him. He was pretty cool."

"I'm sure everything will solve itself out don't worry Romeo." I gave him a comforting smile.

He smiled back. "Thanks Sel. He sure is lucky to have you."
