I strap my bra and set my breasts in it. I put on my shirt and my jacket. Sliding on my boots. Beckem enters the Cabin. "Everything is in the truck, just waiting on you Elle." His face revealing defeat.

I grab my mittens and walk past him to the truck getting into the passenger side. I buckle up and he gets into the drivers seat. We back out of the drive way and follow the shoveled trail.

I stare out the window as my heart breaks a little. Evergreens. They never die in the winter. They stay green forever. I hold back tears as we get onto the road.

"I suppose when we get to your brothers, you'll have to call a tow truck and have your car moved." Beckem breaks the awkward silence. I don't reply because I'm choked up I just nod my head.

Finally after about forty minutes we pull into Chris's driveway. I get out of the truck and grab my blanket and backpack.

"Thanks Beck." I smile hiding my pain. "You're welcome Elle, if your car dies again you know where I stay." He nods. I close the door and head to the house. I don't turn back as I hear Beckems' truck reverse from the driveway.

A tall dark haired man opens the door.

"Elle!" Chris yells as he pulls me close to him. "Mom she's finally here!" My mom comes running from the kitchen as my niece and cousins follow.

"Elle we thought you were lying! We saw your car on the way up. We searched for you and called out but you didn't answer, and your phone is dead." Mom pulls me into her arms. "I'm fine. I turned my phone off." I say as I pull it from my jacket pocket and turn it on. All of a sudden it starts vibrating out of my hand.

"Well come in! We just started presents!" Neal my cousin says with a big smile across his face. I step inside and knock my boots off on the door and slip them off. I set my back pack on the stairs and walk to the living room.

My whole family greets me with warm hugs and kisses. We open our presents and the kids get to play with their new stuff. All the women except me head to the kitchen to make Christmas dinner. All except me.

I curl up on the couch, one leg under my butt the other around my body. Holding a mug of hot chocolate.

I close my eyes trying to to cry. To think that Beckem is all alone in his cabin. I wonder if he found my present. I smile and open my eyes.
