"Beckem can you get the bottle of milk please?" I call from the bedroom. He comes running in with the bottle and hands it to me. "Our little Aspen isn't happy is he?" Beckem laughs.
It's been tough with a baby around. Beckem and I haven't been able to do what we normally would do. But that doesn't seem to bother him much. Every time he sees our son his face illuminates like an angels halo is stuck to it.
I couldn't have asked for a better man to have bared a child with me. Beckem takes Aspen so I can get some sleep.
I relax into the flannel sheets. I so for a moment to admire the beautiful diamond on my finger. We've been married for almost a month. I still can't get over how good he's been to Aspen and I. This year we plan on having Christmas here. At the Cabin.
Mom wanted to see why I left my town home for the woods. It wasn't quite a home until I moved in. Mom still laughs at our tree.
We took the tree that we made last December and planted it outside the front door. Still decorated with the same plaid shirt, garland, and bulbs.
Beckem was right about Evergreens. They never die.
