"I am going to marry you." Beckem's words fill my heart. I sigh of pleasure. "Oh!" He gasps as he looks at my collar bone. A smile cracks his face from ear to ear. "Evergreens." I state. "I love that!" "See Beck, one time I met this man and he told me that Evergreens never die, even in the winter." I recall his words.
"That must have been a very smart man." He coo's.We finally dress again and get into Chris's truck. It's only two thirty. We high tail it up the mountain to Chris's. Finally pulling into the drive way, kids are all over hunting for colored eggs, some full of chocolate others with money.
Beckem gets out and helps me out of the passenger side. My mom comes running over and grabs me pulling me into her arms. "Chris said you weren't coming!" She cries.
"Well at that moment I had business to do. And some things didn't turn out." I laugh and look at Beckem who smiles at me knowing I'm referring to his Charred fish.
"Who is this man?" My mom questions. "Mom, Beckem, Beckem my mom Leanne." "Hello Ms. Mores." Beckem holds his hand out. She set her hand in his and he kisses it. Her face lights up with surprise. I must admit so did mine.
