1- The Birthday Party

It's Brian's birthday party tonight at some random club in NYC. I'm so happy to finally see him again, we've been good friends for so long, he's always been there for me and tonight is his night. He truly deserves the best.

I'm all alone in my hotel room getting ready. I put on a black short dress, curl my hair, put some make- up on and some cute comfortable heels. After a few hours I was finally ready and my uber was outside waiting for me just in time.

Twenty-five minutes later, I get to the party. The music was bouncing in my ears and the shining lights were covering my body. I know that Dylan, my ex is gonna be there since Brian warned me but him being there doesn't stop me from going to the party.

We broke up not long ago, I was really in love with him but he ended it. He said "I need to try something new" and that he didn't feel free in our relationship. What does he think he's gonna find? I gave him so much and we were happy but he changed. I thought he was the one, that it would be us until the end. I know, we're really young but we dated for over a year and he has always been a part of my life until now. I'm over him and everything we had but I don't really want to see him.

I go through the crowd and walk over to the bar and there he was, Brian. He was laughing and his hand was holding an almost empty glass of whatever he was drinking. Next to him there was another guy, he looked familiar but I couldn't see his face clearly. It was quite dark and the lights were making me blind. I head over to them with a big smile on my face.

"What's a girl gotta do to get a free drink around here?" I said still smiling

They both laugh and Brian turns back to find me standing by his side.

"Gabi, you're here!" he said as he hugged me tightly.

I could tell he has had too many drinks already. Brian always goes epic at parties, especially the ones he hosts.

"What? You actually thought I wasn't coming to my best friend's birthday party?" I said and I wished him a happy birthday.

Just when I let go of Brian, I glance at the person who's sitting next to him and that's when I realized who the guy is. It's Shawn Mendes.. the guy was Shawn Mendes....
