Chapter Five

Ariella woke up with a pounding head ache, and dry drool on her cheek.

She groaned, sitting up. Her blue attire was back on, her necklace under her shirt, and her arms, face, were makeup less.

All traces of last night were had disappeared, and for a second she wondered if all of it were really some type of vivid dream.

“Good your up.” said Lavin. “It saves me the trouble from shaking you.”

“Good to know.” Ariella said, sarcastically. Sleep clinging to her still, making her words slightly slur together.

“Come on, you have to shower.” She said, with a small smile. “Today’s your first weekend; you don’t want to stay in bed all day do you?”

Ariella groaned. “Maybe.”

“Come on; we still need to serve breakfast and be back for dinner, but other then that I can show you the city today.”

“What time is it?”

“Six. You got to sleep in since they wake up later then usual. It’ll be an easy time.”

Ariella nodded, not happy with the four hours of sleep she had, but it was her fault she stayed up so late.

Why did she even say yes in the first place? When did she develop this crazy death wish? That saying about curiosity killing that cat was right, because she could die doing this all because she wanted to know how being them feels like.

She remembered Blake though, with those green eyes, and butterflies flew through her stomach; making her bite her lower lip trying to stop this insane feeling.

She went to the shower and found she had small amount of glitter on her skin, and in her hair. Probably, the only thing left from last night since they scrubbed her face from all traces of her makeup until it felt tender. Still it was slight assurance that it wasn’t some crazy vivid allusion, it was real, it really happened, and now the last trace of it is down the drain.

When she arrived into the kitchen she found around half of the usual Lessers chattering in excitement.

“What’s going on?” asked Ariella, sitting next to Lavin.

“Nothing every one’s just excited that it’s the weekend. Some left to their cities last night to visit, and luckily we don’t have to stay all day.”

“Yeah, that job’s stuck with me.” said Dorian, slipping into the front seat.

“Hey, you’re the one that wanted to be the manager of the house.” said Lavin, rolling her eyes and taking a bite of her whole wheat roll.

“I thought it would be easier.” He muttered, shrugging.

“Bull, you did it to-” She stopped at Dorian’s intense glare.

Ariella was somehow used to that already, their ranting. They always gave each other little signals; little looks that remind her of Chav. They knew each other so well; Ariella was sure, that they didn’t really need to talk to each other to know what to do. Actually, she’d seen them do small little things as if they could read each others mind.
