Chapter 46: Recovery

The remaining Ravenrock army surrendered. With the death of King Wells, the war was finally over. The liberation army were spread out across Ravenrock Kingdom to give the news about their kings death and the end of the war. Andeenan forces returned to their kingdom and so did Levenhood army. Zyx decided to remain in Ravenrock territory along with the fellow feliones to observe the condition of the people of Ravenrock, once they are used to the news and are living freely, they will return home.

As some of the rebels were finding the wounded, Arya and Jennifer were searching for Zuno. He had not been seen since the fall of the damone. Maybe he was killed, but they didn't want to think so. A sudden burst of shadows shocked the two. Darkness started to fill the air of the now destroyed city. From the darkness, a figure appeared. It was Zuno, he approached Arya and Jennifer then said, "The time has come, I must now turn to the darkness. Do not fear, I will not bother the peace, yet. I still have a little control over my power. But in the future, I cannot guarantee so again. Darkness will be the necessary evil to keep the peace between the people. Do not destroy us if you do not want another war amongst yourselves. I shall take this place as the darkness's domain."

Arya was left speechless, Jennifer replied, "Thank you for your help. I wish there was a way to reverse the curse. I shall write stories about this day, about this war and about how darkness and humanity must live in harmony. I will make sure no war is waged amongst ourselves again."

"Hft, Jennifer... You can only do so as long as you live, but what about after you life? Who will guarantee the peace? You do not have to answer this for you still do not know the answer. For now, there is peace. But conflict of interest and greed will always be there. Be wary of those." Zuno made his final statement. "You must now all leave."

"Zuno..." Arya was static. Jennifer nodded and took Arya away from the city. She then told Grim about the news and ordered her troops to fall back.

"Funny how he can suddenly be so wise." Wize said.

"Let us not morn but celebrate on this glorious day. And to know that we have someone on the other side, makes it even more comforting. Let us now return to Floran City." Grim stated.

A few days have passed and the rebels have reached Floran City. Grim was in the city hall packing her things, for the city no longer need a leader. They are free to live their lives just like before. The Land without borders were now back with their own state of anarchy.

"What are you going to do next?" Wize asked.

"Continue my family work, taking care of the farm. Live normally as before. How about you?" Grim answered.

"I don't know actually, with only one arm, there nothing much I can do. I'll probably figure a way to get a mechanical arm or something. Andeena might be helpful." He replied.

"I hope you can get that. Well I guess I'll be seeing you then." Grim said as she took her belongings.

"I'll be seeing you." He muttered.

Outside, Terian waited for Wize. He would be the one taking him to Andeena and helping him with getting his right arm back. Grim and Wize smiled at each other as Wize teleported to Andeena.

Selena returned to Levenhood and was officially crowned as the Queen. She pledged to protect her people at all costs and also protecting the peace. They would be the frontlines in safe guarding the people of the realm. Slowly, they started rebuilding their kingdom.

Ande decided that he needed some time on his own, exploring new realms and learning new magic. The siblings decided that Eena would rule Andeena until Ande returned. The Kingdom opened their borders and decided to share their knowledge on magic with the rest of the people in the realm.

Ravenrock on the other hand would turn into a democratic state with a new peace-supporting leader, they have to do an election before they are allowed to do any other activities. Zyx was there to become the mediator during the election process.

Arya however, was not seen anywhere in Floran City. She had disappeared. Nobody knew where she went. Arya was on her way to the dark domain, hoping to find Zuno and express her feelings. But the domain was dangerous, dark creatures were beginning to appear. Grey clouds covered the entire area. She insisted on going anyway. She had reached the edge of the dark domain where she was greeted by two Shadow Knights.

"This is a restricted land, by the orders of High-Shadow Zuno, no one shall pass." A knight greeted.

"I'm here to see Zuno. I have something important to tell him." She replied.

A loud grumbling sound was heard and Zuno appeared from the darkness. He was quiet and just stared at Arya. The shadow knights bowed to him and moved back.
"Speak". Another knight said.

"I-I don't know how to say this, but you know that I have a special feeling towards you right? And I can't shake the feeling off even though I knew that you are going to disappear forever. I wanted to say that, I want to join you and live with you forever. I have no other purpose in life." She expressed.

"How dare you say---" A knight yelled only to be stopped by Zuno.

"Hft, I know about this but your life is not with me. I'm not who I was anymore. You deserve a life out there, you deserve true love. I can not guarantee any of that. You will find someone else out there, my job is to keep you safe for as long as I can. Your job is to live, do what you always do. Be the Arya who you once were. I warn you not to ever come back again, for if you do, these knights will kill you. Fare thee well. I hope you live a good life." Zuno said as he vanished into the darkness, leaving Arya alone and speechless.

The realm lived in peace for many years to come. The whole kingdom were open to everyone in the realm. They began sharing their knowledge and skills to each other. Dark forces steadily came to distrupt the peace and the people, now united, fought together against them.
