Chapter 10: Reunion

"You think I'll die that easily? I'm a healer mage." Arya coughed and talked in faint voice.

Zuno was overjoyed, he hugged Arya tightly.

"I might die from you hugging me too tight." Arya cried.

He left Arya to heal and went to finish his business with Wize.

Wize was already up. Spitting out blood.

"Why here? Why now?" Zuno asked as he charged towards Wize with his sword.

Wize deflected it, "You have some good use for our king. I have orders to take you back alive." He plunged his sword towards Zuno.

Zuno's sword met Wize's sword. They were at a standstill. "I can't go back there, not until I know how to save my parents." Zuno replied.

They withdrew their swords and moved back. They both took their breaths, they were exhausted.

"You're parents are as good as dead Zuno." Wize exclaimed.

Their swords swung and clashed again. Zuno was prepared to parry as much blow from Wize. So was Wize.

Arya was laying by a tree, healing herself. She was shot on the stomach, amazing she was still alive. She watched as Zuno and Wize locked their blades and pulled back again.

"Why are you even doing this?! What has Ravenrock given you to want to capture your old friend?!" Zuno shouted as their blades were clashing.

"They gave me a home, they gave me life. I never had those before. This is how I can repay them." Wize replied.

"What home? All they did was torture us and force us to fight!." Zuno pointed out.

They pulled back, and Wize struck from above, Zuno blocked.

"That was at first; after the great battle, they treated my like a hero. I got the blessing from King Wells and was even given command over the scouting legion. What more could I want?" Wize answered. "I'm sorry old friend, but you have to come with me." He plunged his sword towards Zuno.

Zuno managed to dodge it, but it still cuts his right leg. "Is it because of my powers? Do they know something I don't?" He asked in pain.

"Yes, they know something about all our powers." Wize replied. "I'm getting you back, even if I have to drag you all the way."

"No can do buddy, I'm dangerous, I know that Andeena can help me." Zuno said.

Zuno was prepared to parry as Wize attacked. They were blade-locked again.

Then, Wize fainted, he was knocked out by Zyx, who was still alive. Wize was so focused on predicting Zuno's move, he didn't pay attention of his surrounding.

"We won't die that easily mate." Zyx said. All of his folks were also still alive.

"But how?" Zuno asked in relief as he took a heavy breath.

"Our people have nine lives, as long as our hearts are not penetrated, we can still regenerate and live on and die with old age." Zyx explained.

"Thank god for that." Arya said as she stood up.

"You two must leave, he won't be knocked out for long, we will put him in the middle of the lost forest, to keep him occupied for a while." Zyx assured. "Zuno, do not return, what you did back there was evil, my folks won't tolerate if you ever return."

"I understand, I too am still unaware of what I'm capable of. We'll be on our way, thank you for the help." Zuno said as they both made their way out of the forest.
