Chapter 5: The Elven Girl

Zuno awoken, he was inside a tent made from tree leaves and branches. He couldn't move his body, he looked to his shoulder and it was patched. He was dizzy from all the blood loss. He heard a noise just outside the tent so Zuno tried to sit up straight. Through the shades of the tent came a beautiful looking elven, it was Arya.

"You are very lucky to be alive" Arya said.

"How did you find me?" Zuno replied, curiously.

"A little thanks would be nice." Arya said sarcastically.

"Right, silly me, thanks, for keeping me alive." He replied.

Arya continued, "I heard this voice calling from the forests, I knew it was someone, an elven. So I came rushing here. Turns out, it was a human, it was you laying on the ground. I didn't hesitate and used healing spell to seal your wound. Now, I have a question, How did you speak elven? No human could ever understand our language, or are you not human?" She explained and asked with utmost curiosity.

"I... Don't know, all I remembered was I saw something in the deep forest controlling the battle from afar, somehow I was curious enough to go investigate it but I ended up being stabbed on the shoulder and almost died, the last thing I did wad saying the word 'heal' before I passed out." Zuno answered in confusion.

"You're Ravenrock as I can tell, have you always been a ravenro---" before she could finish her sentence, Zuno said "No, I was never a Ravenrock, I was abducted and forced to fight on their side."

"I see, my apologies." Arya replied.

Zuno couldn't seem to focus, with the wound still hurting, and feeling dizzy plus with the appearance with a very beautiful elven that he couldn't seem to take his eyes off. What he believed was that she saved his life and he owed her one.

"What are you going to do now?" Arya asked.

"I'll head home, see if my parents are alright." Zuno commented.

"Ssst" Arya whispered, "Someone is watching us."

Arya could sense eyes watching them from nearby. Slowly she creeped outside of the tent and scouted the surroundings. She saw something, behind the bushes. She drew her arrow and walked slowly. Suddenly she dropped her bow and arrow and immediately drew her dagger and almost sliced the neck of the person behind her. It was Terian.

"You could have just said something you know." Arya said in relief.

"Your friend there, he is in danger, not against humans or elves, but something else. I need to speak with him." Terian said in a worried state.

Terian went into the tent and sat next to Zuno, "Come to Andeena, the land without borders is not safe for you." He said.

"But I need to get home, I need to go back to my parents. Isn't the lands always not safe. What made you so worried about my well being?" Zuno replied.

"It is not that, but something else. I trust that you also know that something is up. You have potential Zuno, so go to Andeena and they might help you enhance your potential." Terian added.

At Fort Dessa, the Commander asked the knights where Zuno is. A knight answered "I killed him, he was trying to leave the battlefield."

"You imbecile! He was one of those teens! Just like that white haired boy, Why did you think he could easily killed hundreds of men on the battlefield? Arrgh, you ruined everything!" The commander shouted, he took out his sword and beheaded the knight who 'killed' Zuno. "There was a reason why those teens stayed behind the wall, we didn't want them to die in vain, not until---"
"Enough!" A voice could be heard from the front door, it was King Wells.

"One more word, and you're dead." King Wells added.

The commander nodded and bowed. King Wells ordered the men to empty the fort and return to Ravenrock for there was no reason to stay at Fort Dessa anymore. The battle took a huge toll on them.

The white haired boy survived the battle, unharmed and with a lot of kills.

Zuno agreed with Terian and began the journey to Andeena along with Arya. They began walking, it would be a long trip, until Terian restores his mana.

"Before we go, let me--" Terian held Zuno's shoulder and said "heal." The wounds were gone, he could move his arm freely again.

"It will take some time for my mana to fully heal and be able to teleport back to Andeena, sadly, I can only teleport myself not others, I'm sure that Zuno would be able to learn that spell." Terian added.

"Ehm, sorry? Did you just say that I, Zuno, a village boy, could learn a spell? I'm not a fucking wizard." Zuno replied.

"Language!" Arya yelled.

Elven are not fond of swear words, they have always lived in peace and harmony and used manners in every way. "Manners Maketh Elves" was their sayings.

The three proceeded walking through the forests, Zuno had completely removed his Ravenrock armor and wore black clothes instead. He took his musket, and the remaining bullets.

"Only have 9 bullets left." He talked to himself.

"Here, hold my dagger." Arya said.

He took her dagger. Zuno was even more curious about Arya, can she read his mind? Or was she just looking at his facial expression the entire time, which means that she is interested in him. Atleast that was what he thought. Zuno smiled to himself.

"We should go around through the nearby villages and cities then proceed to the Andeenan city. They have a teleporter there and can take us straight to our capital, Havend. There, we will figure out what can you actually do. It will be a long way, but it is the safest." Terian explained.

"The Prince needs me, I have to go, fare thee well, and godspeed. I'll be waiting at Havend." Terian added and immediately teleported.

"Well, he disappeared, you're not leaving too are you?" Zuno asked

"Nope, sadly, I can't teleport and have to accompany you through your journey to Andeena, think of me as your tour guide." Arya replied and smiled at Zuno. They both laughed and continued on their journey.

"How did the battle end?" Zuno asked again.

"You don't want to know, the point is they were all dead, all three sides were defeated, I guess we could see the bright side is that, they declared a ceasefire and together burned the dead bodies." Arya replied.

"Right." He said.

Zuno got more and more interested, for he just realized that Arya wore no armor but just a sleeveless shirt, with pants, shoes and a necklace with a blue diamond in the middle while carrying a bow and arrows on her back. He didn't bother to ask the question and just went on with it.

On their way, they come across a river and decided to camp near it, they found a small cave nearby and settled for the night.

"Terian left something for you." Arya said.
She took a small book from her front pocket and handed it over to Zuno.

"Spell book." He read the cover, "Like I said, I'm not a freaking wizard, Arya." Zuno said.

"Just sleep on it and try deciphering some of the spells." Arya replied.

Arya was fast asleep, while Zuno couldn't. He was in awe looking at Arya sleeping, something about her made him feel safe and happy.

"I can't sleep with you staring at me all the time." Arya said with a sleepy voice.

Zuno blushed and looked away, immediately looking to the spell book, pretending he wasn't staring her at all. He started reading, opened a random page and stared, it was gibberish, he couldn't understand a single letter. It was not English Alphabet for sure.

On their way back to Ravenrock Kingdom, The white haired boy whispered to King Wells "He is still alive."
