A Friendly Addition

Ninah's POV

The next day, I messaged Mat, asking if he wanted to Skype. He didn't reply for almost twenty minutes. At, what is now, 12:20 in the afternoon, he could not have been sleeping. I assumed he was recording, and waited for a reply. Instead of a reply, he called me.

"Yooooo!" I said.

"Haaaaay!" He replied.

"Heeelllloooo!" I heard a third voice say. I grew excited as the one and only Mitchell Hughes was in the Skype call with us as well.

"Oh, well, hello there lovely!" I greeted him.

"So, are you the one who Mat saved?" He asked.

Mat spoke before I was able to, "hey don't give me all the credit, you helped too, Mitch!" Mat interrupted.

"Yeah, you where part of it too," I added.

Mitch paused. "Well damn." He said. I laughed and said, "thank you. This is like the billionth time Mat is hearing it, but the first for you. Thank you. Like, so much. You actually don't understand how amazing you guys are." I said softly.

"No, thank you. You don't know how much that actually means to us. Like, it's surreal. It's difficult to wrap my head around. I saved someone from almost killing themselves. It's crazy. How much we actually mean to someone. It's crazy." He repeated.

"I'm gonna start tearing up again..." I laughed.

We began to talk a little bit. Then, when Mat decided he needed a potty brake, Mitch told me, "oh, by the way, Mat hasn't shut up about you since you two started talking. Like honestly. Every other sentence is like, 'dude, Ninah told me this yesterday. Dude, Ninah this, Ninah that, he's crazy about you." Mitch laughed.

I looked down and smiled, I was left speechless. So, I meant as much to Mat as he did to me? Butterflies flew around and around my stomach. "I think about him alot too." I shrugged. "There isn't really anyone who I am able to talk to, about him, so.. But he's on my mind everyday," I smiled. "Awh, how cute," Mitch teased.

I gave an awkward smile to go along with my light pink face. I continued to look down at my keyboard, blushing as Mitch and I spoke.
