~Chapter Nineteen~
Ninah's POV
After breakfast, we each showered and got dressed, preparing for a day filled with traveling and walking. I planned on showing him around my neighborhood, and the city.
So, out we went. Dressed appropriately for the winter, almost spring, weather.
Our first destination just so happened to be the shit high school I spent the worst four years of my life in.
"So, where to first, Miss Tourist?" He smiled, getting into the passenger seat of the car.
"We're going to hell!" I laughed, as I began to pull out of the parking garage, and drove onto the street.
He began to try guessing where I was referring to when I said, "Hell."
"Are we going to your job?" He asked.
"Nope!" I grinned.
"Are we going to your university?"
"Nope!" I shook my head.
"Previous school?" He asked, looking at me while I payed attention to the road.
I looked at him and shrugged, as if I didn't know where I was bringing him.
"Aww, don't give me that!" He said, giving me a bit of a shove.
"You'll see when we get there!" I laughed, trying to calm my inner self after Mat had softly pushed my arm.
I put on the radio, to kill the awkward silence creeping up on us. After the horribly annoying commercials have finished, the 'oldies radio station played
'Band On The Run' by Paul McCartney and The Wings, which caused Mat and I to jump up in excitement, and blast the music.
We sang the lyrics word by word, and jammed out to the amazing music being played.
I assume my 'incredible' music taste made him a bit more interested in me, because he practically had hearts for eyes.
Mat's POV
H O L Y. S H I T.
Ninah's just becoming more and more irresistible by the second.
First was her incredible kindness, next was her beauty and personality, after that was her cooking, and NOW, SHE AND I HAVE SIMILAR MUSIC INTERESTS!
After our music jamming session, which lasted a majority of the car ride, we finally approached the destination she had brought us to.
It was a huge building that read the town name, and 'High School' after it.
After looking and admiring the very big school, I looked over at Ninah, who was flipping off the school, as we drove and circled around it.
"I'm going to guess you didn't like high school?" I smiled at her.
"Worst four years of my life, so far." She said, shrugging and pulling out of the parking lot.
"Where to next?" I asked, nudging her.
"Middle school, and elementary!" She smiled.
After touring the two schools, we parked into the parking lot of her elementary school. She claimed to have a secret spot behind the small baseball field she's always gone to as a kid.
The secret spot was a small area cleared of leaves, but hidden by bushes and trees. She sat on a small cleared off rock, and patted the one next to her, inviting me to sit.
I looked everywhere, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the beautiful girl sitting next to me.
"Have any back story of this place?" I asked, looking at her.
She stared down, into nothingness. As if the memories she had in this area were flashing before her eyes.
She managed to pull up a small grin, looking at me, getting ready to explain the times in the small area.
"Well, when I was eight, a kid who I really liked and I came in here and we shared a little peck on the lips in here." She began.
"Aw, that's so cute!" I commented, bringing my legs into my chest.
"Until he realized girls have cooties, and ran away." She laughed.
"This was also the area I came to when my first boyfriend broke up with me in the eighth grade, and I had brought chips and bought an icecream and ate them while I sobbed."
I nodded, "quite the breakup, eh?"
She laughed and shook her head, as if refusing to remember that time.
"I always came here when my parents were bugging me, and once my boyfriend at the time came here with me just to break up with me, and another time my friend and I came here just to draw." She said.
"That's all that's really happened here, of importance."
I nodded my head, and held my hand out for her to hold.
Ninah's POV
Mat held out his hand, and I grabbed it, intertwining my fingers with his.
His eyes suddenly became the most gorgeous shade of light brown, and his lips suddenly became more and more beautiful. I saw he had slowly leaned into me, and I began to lean forward as well. Our lips becoming much closer than they've ever been. Then suddenly, I felt his sweet, moist lips touch mine, and sparks flew in the air while butterflies flew in my stomach.
I felt goosebumps run throughout my entire body, and it felt as if the entire world stopped for a second, just so we were able to share the sweetest moment of his time here.
Mat's POV
We kissed. Holy shit, we kissed. I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend as soon as I possibly can. Not right now, though. Too many things going on, everything going amazingly.
We our lips separated, a smile crept on both of our bright red faces.
A little giggle left Ninah's mouth, and she calmly turned away from me, trying to cover up her embarrassment.
Holy shit she's cute.

FanfictionI am aware of how cliché this type of story is, but if you give the prologue a read, and try to put yourself in the protagonist's shoes, you might find it interesting.
