~Chapter Thirteen~
Mat's POV
We pulled into a parking garage. I assume it's for the residents of the apartments, and the people who work right down the street in the variety of stores and restaurants.
We got out of the car, and she opened the trunk. We each grabbed a suitcase. And just after she gestured me to follow her, I swiftly grabbed a hold of her hand, and we walked to her apartment with huge smiles on our faces.
After having to pull both suitcases up two flights of stairs, we stood in front of her door. She used two keys to unlock her door completely, and when the door opened, we walked through a short narrow hallway, with pictures hung up of who I assumed to be her family. I walked forward more, and looked around a big room that was spilt in two, with the living-room area on the right side, and the kitchen on the left side. She walked to the left and opened the door in front of her. Wheeling my suitcases into that room, she gestured for me to walk in. Following her rules, I walked into the room and looked around.
"This is the guest room!" She said.
"So, you're telling me, I'm not going to room with you?" I winked. She shook her head and laughed, "follow me, I'll show you the rest of the place!"
Ninah's POV
After that joke Mat made, my heart beat rapidly and loudly, I was surprised he couldn't hear it.
I grabbed a hold of his arm, and walked out of the room, and into the door on my right.
"This is my room." I smiled.
He looked around at my poster covered wall, he nodded then laughed, "I'm assuming you really enjoy music and bands."
I shrugged and laughed, "only a little bit!" I winked.
I wonder if he is surprised by the fact I have my own apartment, and I choose to decorate it with posters, drawings, and corny little Knick-Knacks.
He looked at my computer desk, and observed the pictures of my family that I kept. After seeing a blank picture frame, he looked at me and commented on it, as poetically as he can.
"Hey, your picture frame lacks a story to be told within it."
I hesitated, trying not to laugh, at how adorable he is. "Yeah, I bought that a few days ago, hoping I could snap a photo of us this weekend and put it there." I said, stuttering, trying not to make eye contact with him. Wow, am I really that awkward?
He smiled widely, "Really? That's so cute!" He laughed.
After a moment or two of an awkward silence, and him looking around my room, he walked towards me, and hugged me tightly.
I didn't know what to say, so I didn't say anything. I wrapped my arms tightly around his abdomen, (our heights are quite different. Considering I'm only five feet and three inches, whilst he stands at an estimated five feet and nine inches) and broke the silence by saying, "You really mean alot to me."
I heard his heart beat begin to beat faster, showing me he feels the same.
Mat's POV
Hearing Ninah tell me I'm important to her, gave me butterflies. My heart raced, and I grew confident that this weekend was going to be amazing.
I kissed the top of her head and felt myself flush a light shade of pink.
"So, how about we continue with that tour?" I winked.
She laughed and proceeded to show me around her house.
We ended on the couch, and spoke for a while.
(Voting would be pretty fab! If you want to, of course :D)

FanfictionI am aware of how cliché this type of story is, but if you give the prologue a read, and try to put yourself in the protagonist's shoes, you might find it interesting.
