Hello! I'm back from my obnoxiously long hiatus. I am honestly so sorry for keeping you all waiting. I needed a break, and I'm glad I took one.
A few things that happened while I was gone:
•Mostly nothing
•I made a free write story! It's called "My Brain in Words" it's got a few chapters on it, but perhaps you can check it out? Thanks!
I appreciate literally every single one of you. Knowing that you enjoy this shitty story so much really makes me happy. I come from a fucked up background, and it makes me so happy to know I actually have someone who gives a shit. If not someone, many. Many someones. You all make me happy, I want you to remember that. Thank you so much for caring, and keeping up, and staying even after I've left for so long.
I love all of you.
Remember that.
Don't you ever forget.
~Chapter Sixteen~
Ninah's POV
After our skype session with the two lovely couples, I heard Mat's stomach growl, this being used as a sign saying, "go make your guest some lunch, he's starving!" So, about to do just that, I got up from my seat and walked into the kitchen. I got all of the contents needed to make him a simple sandwich, and served him with a glass of juice. He smiled widely as he gladly took the plate and cup, adding a "thank you!" after. I sat next to him, as we watched TV, and he enjoyed his effortlessly made sandwich.
As he ate, I thought about us, about how we'll become one, and be together. I knew it would be difficult, considering the longer we stay friends, the closer we'll become as friends, and I don't want that. I want us to be together, in a relationship. A relationship in which we share cuddles, and kisses whenever, and we make fun of each other. Where we talk about stupid shit late at night, weather it was through Skype or in bed together, we'd talk about why we think the Earth was the lucky planet to have all of the living species, even though we'd have no fucking idea on what we were talking about. Where we throw the phrase "I love you" around all the time, but we mean it. A relationship where we actually genuinely care for each other, and no one would be able to separate us, not one person. That's the relationship I want with Mat, and I don't know why, but I can see us getting there.
After having these thoughts I was shaken into reality. This reality being me staring at Mat as he ate a sandwich I had made for him.
He looked at me, with his cute brown eyes and smiled obnoxiously. "Why are you staring at me?" He laughed. I shook my head and felt myself grown red of embarrassment. It had already been too obvious, so I don't have the chance to make an excuse saying I wasn't, so I told him honestly, "I don't know, you're just so adorable when you're eating, I kind of got lost in your profile." I stated in a cocky tone. He laughed. "I'm glad you find my profile so attractive."
"Well, I would prefer your entire face, but your profile is just as good." I smiled. I am astonished at where this sudden boost of confidence came from, but I'm impressed at how smooth my compliment was, especially if it came from me.
Let's be honest: on the outside I appear to be confident (at least for the current moment) but on the inside I am currently emotionally unstable.
His face grew red, and it was probably the cutest thing I've ever seen him do. I've never been more attracted to a guy ever.
Mat's POV
So, Ninah made me a sandwich, she stared at me for a while, she used a really corny compliment, and she made me blush. More and more am I realizing how perfect she is for me.
She's clearly needed in my life. I WILL be her boyfriend; I can promise you that. I just don't know how we'll get there. Of course I could just ask her, and hope she says yes, or I can wait a while until I KNOW she'll say yes. But I only have a few days here, and I'd like for it to be done sooner than later.
(Votes are much appreciated! Although your existence is as well, it makes me happy to know you've taken time out of your day just for me. Thank you.)
I love you.

FanfictionI am aware of how cliché this type of story is, but if you give the prologue a read, and try to put yourself in the protagonist's shoes, you might find it interesting.
