Wow this was a long one...
I hope it's how you imagined it!
////I could hear explosions going off from every angle. My feet continued to run in the random direction that I had been following for the last hour, praying that safety would be found on the other side of the thick smoke suffocating me.
I could never imagined two and a half weeks ago that I would be standing in the middle of the battle field for world war three. South Korea had been targeted and it just happened to be while I was on vacation.
My parents had begged me not to go alone and yet I hadn't listened. I wish I did.
I struggled to keep my energy levels up, but with the everlasting yells of sacrifice and agony from around each corner, I managed to keep pushing myself. On and on. You've got this.
After what felt likes hours but what was in reality minutes, my feet pulled up to a stop by a small building on the corner of the street.
My hesitation grew as I stared at the ancient door knocker, but as the footsteps of soldiers came towards me, my looming fear was replaced with the instinct of survival.
I had pulled the door closed behind me heavily, before letting out my held breath as I leaned against the door. The footsteps passed by in a hurry, each pair making my heart race with anticipation.
When there was nothing left to be heard, I let out an exhausted sigh before letting my body fall to the ground in exhaustion.
A heavy groan was heard not far from my position sending me into full alert before I decided to examine the house farther. Who knows what's hiding behind each wall...
The only evident sound was the shuffling of my beaten shoes on the dusty floorboards of this semi-ancient apartment building. Yet I continued following the small whimpers.
I had reached the kitchen in no time. The groans became louder.
I had peered around the kitchen bench, seeing a limp figure, covered in dust that had been falling through the cracks of the roof. A uniform was firmly resting against the male's figure, but instead seemed more like a blanket that a clothing item. This gave me the indication that this boy had been starving.
I had been keeping a small chocolate bar in my back pocket for when things get to its worse. Maybe it would be my last meal? Not anymore.
But all of those visions had been captured and instead I pressed the tip of the bar downwards into the male's mouth. The pale boy began chewing immediately as the flavour became familiar to him.
Within moments he had taken the whole thing before pushing his small arms to lift himself.
He gave me a small nod as he pulled himself into a sitting position before he broke out with a large smile.
"Thank God! I heard you come in and I thought you were a soldier about to finish me off!" The boy was very attractive with his black fluffy hair.
"My name is Jimin and I'm a South Korean soldier, you can trust me" I smiled a little at him.
"Hi Jimin, well I was wondering if you could help me? I'm trying to find a safe camp" the walls made frantic cracking noises before spluttering dust through small pieces of chipped plaster. Someone's coming.
"Come with me" JIMIM frantically pulled me up before grabbing my hand and leading me from the position on the ground I had been previously in.
