After a few minutes in the janitors closet with Matt Silor, I somehow got myself into the principal's office with Dana Vaughns right next to me.
"Why am I here?" I ask, aloud, but more to myself.
"I saw you come out of the janitor's closet, Ms Naveen," Mr Grey said. He reminded me of President Snow from the hunger games, he seemed THAT evil. "It really doesn't seem like you, though."
"Oh please, Her and I had an argument on who goes in, she's been doing this since the beginning of middle school," Dana says. WHAT IS HE TRYING TO DO? What did I ever do to him? Mr Greys eyes went wide.
"Really? Ms Naveen?"
"Why is he here?" I say, nodding my head towards Dana, and changing the subject.
"Oh, right. I saw Dana coming out from under the bleachers, so I decided to do this once, with you together. I want you both serve detention for three days."
"Does this go on my records?" "Everything goes on your records, Ms Naveen."
"Whatever," I mumble in defeat. "Can we go now?"
"Yes." That's all it took for me to run out, to my Biology class.
"Wait! Why don't you just walk with me?" Dana asked, coming up. "we are going to the same place."
"Yeah, sure." I slow down and walk beside him.
"Who was it this time?" He asks after a moment of silence.
"Matt Silor," I answer.
"Haven't you been with him more than once, why are you with him again?"
"I didn't say we are dating, I said I was in the janitor's closet with him," I say. "There's a difference." Sarcasm is obviously my second language... because I use it too much. "Plus, he's cute."
"And popular," He adds.
"So are you and your friends but I haven't played with any of you."
"Touche."
I smirk, knowing I made a point. "Why do you care if it was on your record?"
"Because, even if it doesn't look like it, I care. I want into a good college."
"What? Harvard?"
"ADMA, American Dramatic and Musical Academy in New York."
"You didn't come off as an artistic girl."
"There are a lot of things I don't come off as," I say, looking down. "Now, if you excuse me, I have some biology to focus on." I enter through the door, without a second look back.
"Miss. Naveen, do you have a pass?" "No Ma'am, I was in Mr Greys Office."
"Why didn't he give you a pass?"
"I don't know, but I was there." "Yeah, I was too," Dana says, coming through the door. He smiles at the teacher. "Okay, you two sit together at the desk over there then." I scoff to myself, that he could do that.
"You should be happy that I saved your ass."
"Thank You." I smile sweetly at him. Biology dragged on because she decided to actually work today. "You know, I saw that your friend Marie and her boyfriend broke up at the end of last year?"
"Mhm," I say, writing down on the piece of paper the teacher handed out. "Do you think she would go out with me?" He is joking right. I swear to God if he tries. "What are you trying to do?" I say looking up and turning towards him.
"I'm not trying to do anything, I'm going to go out with her."
"She's not dumb enough to go out with you."
"A lot of girls are dumb enough to go out with me. Just as guys are to you."
"Guys like me, because I give them what they want."
"No self-respect at all."
"Self-respect is doing what you want, so yes, I do have self-respect."
"Giving guys what they want isn't self-respect. Guys want sex."
"How come when guys have sex with different girls they come off as players but girls come off as whores?"
He sits for a moment thinking.
"Fine. You got me there."
"I know I did."
The rest of the period, we took, bickering about stupid things. He honestly was arrogant and got on my nerves, and he also got me angry so easily, I'm usually the bubbly and optimistic kind, too. Once the bell rings, I lift both my hands up in the air thanking God, dramatically. Dana just rolls his eyes, running to the girls who were exiting the room, and left, but not before looking back and giving me a sarcastic wink. I sigh aloud, slipping my books into my arm and head of to my free period, the one right before lunch.
I make my way through the free period, and make my way to an empty chair in the back. "Well, Hello beautiful." I hear, and look up to the sound of the source to see Matt. I smile and jump up, giving him a peck on the lips. "Want to go out on a date tonight? How about we start the school year, to be the star couple?"
"Yes! That's a great idea," I answer him, smiling.
"Okay, Girlfriend?"
"Okay, Boyfriend."
"You guys have more of a Friends with Benefits thing than you do, a couple thing."
I already know that irritating voice, even from just one period. Okay, it wasn't irritating, He actually sounded like an angel. But still, he's an arrogant angel.
"What do you want, Dana?"
"Just wondering if Marie was near."
"I'm going to be laughing when she rejects you."
"And I'm going to rub it in your face when I break your best friends heart."
I turn to Matt. "Actually, I think in rethinking it, how about another time?"
"Okay, I just saw the new foreign exchange student anyway. Way better looking." He says, distracted by a long brown haired Brazilian beauty.
"And I'm going to laugh when I break yours." I say referring to Dana's best friend, once Matt was gone.
"Well like you heard, none of my boys will be focusing on you, there's a better looking foreign exchange student. And every guy loves a sexy Brazilian."
"How did you know sh-"
"I have already had her."
"Bleachers girl?"
"Mhm."
"She's not THAT good looking." I say emphasising that.
"Better looking than you apparently." Okay, that is beginning to hurt.
"Well, if you think so than why are you looking at me and not her."
He leans in, to where his lips are on my ear.
"I don't think so, that's why I said apparently."
