"Hi Grandma," I smile, as Dana turns his face around, for his grandma to kiss his cheek. She suddenly turns to me, "Aw you must be his girlfriend! What a beautiful young thing you are." She takes my face in her hand, looking closely at me as I nod and giggle. "My, Dana you did well for yourself." He smiles and winks at me, "I know, Grandma." "Mary, get your buns back in this kitchen now, I wanna meet our only grandsons girl." I giggle at the way he said as, she tsks, him. "Okay, I'm coming you big pile of milk chocolate." Turns out the place Dana had picked was a cafe that his grandparents had made when they first got married. They were just the ages of 18 and 21 and they started a business together. It wasn't that busy, only a few elders drinking coffee and having a salad or cake, I find this place cute. "You finally got yourself a girl," His grandfather came out, patting Dana on his back before hugging him. "Your the first girl he has let us visit, tell me has he had other relationships besides that Callie girl?" I'm pretty sure I looked truly confused on the outside because that's how I felt on the inside. "Callie was that one other girl I had a relationship with," Dana explained, biting his lip. I nod, understanding. "Nope, just me, I guess." "I didn't think so, whenever he gets girlfriends he non stops talking about them, but he will never bring them over, not even Callie after one year. You must be special," He whispers the last part, smiling. Knowing the fact that he had dated the Callie girl for a year and hadn't brought her here, warmed my heart a little. It made me feel like I was more special to him. "Okay, Grandpa, I think she might be hungry," Dana interrupts before his kind family member can talk further, pulling me by the wrist towards him, leading me towards a window, that had a nice view. The cafe, is a little out in the country on the interstate, so when you looked out from this side, all you see is a beautiful lake and trees- lots of them. "What would you like to drink?" A girls voice asked, and I looked up at her to smile. She had brown curly hair, brown eyes, and skin like Dana, and wore a sweet smile to me. She held a notepad in her hand, but had no name tag. "I would like hot chocolate, please," I said, smiling again at her. She nods, and then nods at Dana. I look out the window again, waiting. "My grandparents and I, we're all very close. They were there for me all the time, and cared a lot about me. I didn't think Callie was worthy enough to meet them." Dana speaks, and I turn to look at him. He was looking out at the lake that had the moonlight shining on it. "And I'm worthy?" I question. It didn't feel much like a game, and I felt my liking for him grow stronger. I found it undeniably sweet, though I really didn't want to fall in love with him. It wasn't exactly about winning to me, it was about getting hurt. Going through as much pain as my sister had went through.

His smile is small, as he turns his head towards me. He takes my hand into his, playing with my fingers. "Your more special to me," Just as I was about to respond, the girl came back with our drinks. "Thank you?" "Kelly, her name is Kelly," Dana answers for me, putting my hands down to drink whatever he had. "Thank you Kelly," I smile at her politely, and then take a sip of the hot chocolate. Dana looks directly at me, like he was waiting for something. As the drink rolls down my throat, as sensation and reaction comes to me, as my eyes widen. "Oh my god, this is wow." I take another sip. "This is the best thing I have ever tasted!" Oops, that was a bit loud. Dana chuckles, smiling at me, and I see his eyes sparkle. Kelly laughs, smiling at Dana, then me. "Anything you'd like to eat?" "Just two plates of what I always get Kels," Dana says, his look still at me. "What if-" "I know you'll like it." I just shrug and nod, sipping more of the amazing drink in my hand. "Did God make this?" I question Dana, after I was done with that sip. He laughs, "Nope, just the grandparents." "Are they God?" "Nope." "Are you sure?" "Nope." I giggle, knowing that I probably sounded like a little kid who sat on Santa's lap for the first time, but with him I didn't care. "How long can I have you for, princess?" He asks, grabbing a hold of my fingers to play with them. "As long as you'd like, My prince." "Good," He mumbles, bringing my fingers up to his lips placing soft kisses. "Except for in the morning, Will wants to steal me for breakfast, by the way," He chuckles against my skin, before letting my fingers fall completely into his hand, playing with them again. "Guess we only have tonight then?" He says, a smile showing on his face. "I guess." "What time should you be back though? At latest?" I laugh, shaking my head. "Look at you being all responsible. I don't have a curfew, who a time to come back. I'm yours the whole night." He looks at me, before down at my fingers, playing with my ring. "But your parents are home." I sigh, "That doesn't matter, they don't care." He looks up at me, straight into the eyes. "Is that the reason you became a player? The cliche reason about parents leaving." There he goes, did Cole ask him to ask that. "There's more to it. Besides, I think it might be more than just who the person is that is leaving. I'm afraid of everyone in our town leaving, so it doesn't matter who." "Mhm," He leans over, giving me a peck on the lips, letting my fingers down on the table gently. "I'm not leaving. Your to interesting to get bored of. What's the reason then?" I use that as an opportunity ,"If I tell you, I'd have to kill you."

For the rest of the date, we talked. Like any normal couple would, then as everyone began leaving, we stayed, chatting with his grandparents and Kelly, the only electronics on was the lights, if there even considered electronics. I found out Kelly was Danas cousin, who was here for a college, but was paying by working here. We sat there, all in a circle talking, until Dana decided it was best to leave. As we exited, he placed his arm around my waist, and his grandma responded with, "Have some manners son, your not getting some tonight." I laughed as Dana shook his head, a smile never leaving his face. "You got that right," I said over my shoulder to them. "Bye." "Bye sweetheart." He walks to the car, his arm still around my waist, until he opens the door for me. I smile, getting myself settled in, just as he opens his own door, getting in. "Did you enjoy it?" "No, I absolutely hated it," I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes. "Honestly the best fun I have ever had. You really have outdone yourself, Vaughns." He leans over, kissing my lips, and bring his hands to cup my cheek. "I like you," He mumbles against my lips. "It might be possible for me to fall in love with you. But don't hurt me when I do." I smile, "I couldn't even if I tried." He chuckles, pulling back then facing forward. "Next stop," He pulls out of the cafe, and onto the highway. "Where to?" I asked, biting my lip. He looks over, quickly pecking me on my lips before turning back to his driving. "How are your parents?" He asks, ignoring my question. "Great," I answer, "I had a conversation with my mom, right before you came." He looks over, "Yeah? About what?" I began to fight in my mind whether I should tell him or not, but settled with the first option. "About whether I was mad at my parents for putting work before me or not," I answer honestly. "I don't see a reason to be mad, I pushed myself away from everyone at one point." Oops, too far. I didn't want to do that. He turns over into a different lane, going further into the trees that were near. "Hm? When was that?" He asked, interested in what I was saying. "Oh, in sixth grade, I sort of pushed everyone in that time span." I answered, might as well not back out now. "Isn't that the same time you started playing guys?" "And the same time I stopped going to church, and the same time my parents began going to work." And the same time my sister went away. I won't even think of saying it, or telling another soul about what happened. "Why was that?" "Secrets," I whisper, a smirk making its way onto my face. "Gotta keep myself a bit mysterious, huh? Besides, I've let you in enough." He chuckles, "Will you ever tell me?" That was a question I was weighing out myself, confused as to whether I would close to him enough for it. "Who knows? The world works in weird ways," I look out to see him slowing down, in front of a place that looks like a movie scene. It was like when people would park their car, and look out at the lights, except it was a little closed off, look out at the trees. My eyes widen at the beautiful sight, and I turn to Dana a smile making a way onto my face. "You like it? Its a bit cliche, but I think I might be the only one who knows about this place, well including you now," He says, smiling at me. I nod excitedly. "Are we getting out or not? Allons-y!" I say, jumping out of his car, and running to the edge of the cliff, sitting down. I smile out at the dark sight, and smile to Dana once he sits beside me, pulling me towards him by my waist. "Its beautiful, even though it's dark, it'd still easy to see." He nods, a smile making a way on his face as I lean my head against his chest. I feel him press his lips to the top of my head, obviously still smiling. "Wow." I breath out. "I thought you would like it, beautiful girls like beautiful things," He says. I giggle at his pick up line, turning around to kiss him. We kiss for a few seconds before he starts to chuckle. I pull back, looking at him with a confused face. "Usually I would push the girl down to get on top of her, but I can't exactly do that with you," He shakes his head, laughing.

"Your so different."
