Today, I arose with the sun in my eyes and the birds singing out my awakening. Not really, I awoke to Will jumping on my bed with Arctic Monkeys- whom I had a high disliking for- blasting through my room. Its Saturday, two days away from when Dana was so curious about the devils eye. Now I found myself standing in line, waiting for ice cream. Will decided to cure my unknown sadness with ice cream. The sadness was unknown towards me apparently, for I had not felt it. I didn't argue, though, I got free ice cream.

"Still don't see why you think I'm sad," I say licking the chocolate covered chocolate ice cream that had sprinkles on top. Will looks over to me as we sit down at a table. "Because Kayla is here now," Will answers, licking his own rainbow ice cream. "By the way, how have you been since she has came?" I sigh, then stir the soda in front of me, after setting my ice cream on the bottom of the cone. "Good, How come we have been talking about Kayla so much, though?" I take a sip of the Dr. Pepper, letting its amazing taste make its way down my throat. "I liked it better when all we seemed to do was talk about sex." Will looks over at the kids who were playing on the umbrella covered tables. "Keep it G, we don't want parents to question your fifteen year old mind."

"Well they wouldn't have my parents to confront." He chuckles a bit, shaking his head. "What can I do with you?" Sarcasm rolled off his tounge just has the devils sister walked up to the ordering booth. I ignored that she was here, looking at Will, who was looking her way. "I don't like the weird feeling you get when she comes around," He says, turning back towards me. "Its like you know she's there before you see her face." I got exactly what he was saying, for I had felt it too. When Kayla came around, you just get a negative vibe in the air. Like something bad was bound to happen. Usually, something did.

"Oh look," The voice I was dreading to hear says. "My best friend!" She sits down next to me placing her soda down. "So, I heard you turned into the schools slut. How has that worked for you?" I give her fake sweet smile, picking my ice cream back up. "Great, remember Ryan? He's great in bed," I wink. Ryan, whom was here earlier is her ex-boyfriend. Her first love, actually. They went through everything together, and loved each other. They broke up when she had moved. "Is he? I would never know, I'm not a slut," She tries to insult. I nod, "Your not? I would never have guessed." Will gives a childish Oh like I just burned her, which I did, and she glares at him. "Now, will you please leave? We were enjoying our ice cream without you," She scoffed, standing up. "I have a date, anyways." She turned walking over to a guy I had never seen before. I studied her outfit, which was a skirt that touched her knees and a regular white shirt, that was loose. Nothing like her other outfits. "Maybe she is trying to make a good impression with the guy?" Will says, noticing my confusion on the outfit. "Or maybe she's just actually like that," I say, turning to him. He looks confused, but I change the subject quickly. When we begin to leave, Will looks over to me. "So, how have you been doing with Dana?" He questions, throwing his empty soda cup away. If your wondering why I was with Will and not Dana is because, 1. Will is my best friend, 2. I don't have to be with Dana every second of the day, and 3. He was busy taking his drivers test at the moment. "Good, it was easy to be comfortable around him," I answer, following him to his car. "and no, I'm not in love with him." He chuckles and shakes his head, "Not what I was going to ask." I shrug. It had seemed like he was going to ask it. He stuffs his hands into his pocket. "I want you guys to fall in love," He confesses, looking over to me. "You both can't just keep living like this." I give him a sad smile. "I know, and I don't want to. I just don't feel like getting hurt." "There is a first time for everything, you know. You have never gotten your heart broken yourself." I shake my head refusal, "But I have. I got broken from someone I loved, whether it was a guy or not. I know that not all guys are like my sisters ex boyfriend, but I need to do something to pay them back. Girls are not just some toy to play with then put down. We're not some record to play, then break if you don't like the sound of us." He sighs, obviously knowing how I felt. "Try to give Dana a chance then, huh? He has just a good a reason as you do. Try to get to know him on the levels I know you." "And if I make some way of messing up, he'll just break me," I say, pushing myself in the car. "Either its a win win situation, or lose win situation, and when you lose, we're going to end up getting heart broken." Will looks over to me, studying me a little before speaking, "So are you doubting yourself?" "I'm a girl, I fall easier in love than an average male. Even if all I did was break hearts."

------------------------------

If I said that a shirtless Dana would never be the death of me, I would be lying a huge amount that I might even go to hell for it. So shirtless Dana is the death of me. It was Sunday, which meant it was sunny. When its sunny, my best friends decide its best to go to the beach. So now, I was at the beach with Marie, Autumn, and Rachel, and somehow we called the guys to come to. Well, all except Dalton, who had a family thing. I was laying on the sand while Marie and Cole were making a sand castle, and the rest were in the water. "Ari!" I hear, and look up to see Dana, running towards me. He leans down, kissing my lips softly, before straightening up again. "You need to come in." I look over to my friends who were splashing each other. "I'd rather not," I say. Honestly, the beach somehow brought my thoughts to my family. My sister and I would all spend our time pretending we were mermaids, and making sand angels, while our mom and dad, sat talking and watching our foolishness. He leans down, putting his hands near my side this time. "Why? Are you chicken?" He teased, and I roll my eyes. "Nope," I say, clichely popping the p. "I just don't feel like it." He shrugs, pushing his lips onto mine, and pushing me gently on my back on the recliner beach chair. "Guess we'll just have to do this then, huh?" He says against my lips, smirking. I push him away softly, before sitting up and shaking my head. "Or you can sit on that chair, and we can talk." I point over to the recliner next to me. He smiles at me, before laying down. There we talked about the normal things, like how pretty the beach was, and how weird the sand fells between our toes. When everybody started to leave, I went to go with Will but Dana stopped me. "No, we're going to stay here together, I borrowed my dads car so." I smile at him, realising he got his licenses before nodding to Will to go. "You never told me you got your licenses," I say, making him give a crooked smile, then look down. "I didn't want to boast about it." I watched as the sun started to go away, and Dana turn to me. He puts out his hand, for me to take. "Dance with me," He says, as the waved touched the shore in a beautiful melody. I nod, taking his hand. He led me to where the waves just touched it, a small amount of people still here. That's when he began to hum a small symphony, rocking us back and forth. "Sing it," I whisper, my head on his shoulder. He sighs, before softly singing the song he was humming. If I said that his voice wasn't something I wanted to listen to every night, I, again would be lying enough to go to hell. His voice was as angelic of the sounds of a harp, as he softly sung a melody of my only sunshine. Odd song for a guy like him, but he made it fit. "I'm not saying that I'm in love with you, but I'm beginning to have a small fondness with you." He interrupts himself, making me smile to myself. "I could say the same with you, your the first guy who I might actually begin to like," I answer towards him, as I hear him sigh. "I just needed to get that off my chest." He says, and I feel him smile.

"I'm glad you did."
