(A/N to start of I want to give a big thank you to the people who have been commenting, I love you guys so much no joke so yeah )
Back to the kingdom once again, with black leggings, a loose mickey mouse shirt, and black combat boots. I walk up to the gates with Will, smiling at him. Going to where we now stood with the boys, and now Tyler, I walk over to Dana, side hugging him before making conversation with everyone. He slips his arm around my waist, joining the conversation. "We really need a girls night," I say to my best friends, who nod quickly in agreement. "We really do," Marie says, smiling. "The guys need a guys night too so," Dalton says, probably missing his now taken brothers. "Maybe Tyler can join you guys, huh? There's no need passing up a new friend, right?" I suggest, wanting Tyler to be able to get involved. "Yeah!" Rachel agrees, excitedly. "I'm fine with it," Cole agrees to it. "Same," Dalton and Will say at the same time. "Dana?" I question, turning out of his grip to look at him. "Yeah? Oh whatever sure, yeah." I tilt my head to the side a little, confused by him, before turning back around, smiling at Tyler, "Only if you want to, of course." He smiles back at me, "I'd love to, thanks." Dana says something under his breath that I couldn't catch, but I just ignore it. He didn't want me hearing it, obviously. The bell rings, and we head off to Homeroom, Will and Autumn by my side. Marie, was an in depth conversation with Cole, who was walking her to the classroom. I didn't know if they were dating or going on a date, but I wanted them to. They would seem perfect together. "Are they together, or?" I ask Autumn and Will pointing to my walking ship. "Not yet, they seem to have something I like to call Skinny Love," Autumn answers, and instantly I remember the time she said that in eighth grade about her, and her crush. I giggle, shaking my head in shame. "Guess we'll just have to set them up," And after that I'm almost immediately reminded that I promised Cole that I would score him a date. Looking at it now, I noticed that he seemed to have confidence with me, but he couldn't simply ask her herself. It was a bit odd, but maybe it was just because he actually likes her, and he was nervous for rejection. We sit in homeroom talking, and laughing. Obviously, there is nothing really different to do other than that, for we were all nerds that did homework right away. Not that we all had homework anyways, it was Monday. "Ay! Ari," I hear behind us, and turn to see Matt sitting on his desk, the new Brazilian girl wrapped in his arm. She was beautiful, and very sweet actually. I had talked to her for a little bit, and she had admitted me that she felt ashamed for what she did with Dana, she was just confused. She also assured me, though, that all they did was make out. She was wearing a white and pink striped skirt, and a school girl like pink shirt. I never caught her name. "Hey Matt, hey, I'm sorry I never got you name," I say, smiling apologetically to the stunning girl next to my old play toy- oops. "I'm Amelia," She smiled at me, and it was genuine. Some girls were a little butchy when it came to this. "Great name," I smile at her, "I'm Arizona." I understood why guys would pick her over me, not that I'm being insecure. She was just honestly beautiful in every shape. It was no fair. "I know," She giggles a little as if me introducing myself was silly. I don't remember saying my name when I had a small chat with her, and all Matt said was Ari. "Everyone knows who you are, you are the most beautiful girl in the school, right?" I give her a small smile, shaking my head with small disbelief. "I'd like to say everyone in the school is the most beautiful, not just one person," I explain as to why I was shaking my head. I had it in my head that all the shapes and sizes were beautiful. The ones who eat too much, the ones who don't eat, the ones who have scars, the ones who don't have scars, the ones with pimples, the ones without pimples, and the ones who are understood, and the ones who are misunderstood. All of them. Even the girl in the back who, shakes fiercely every hour or so in her seat. She was my favorite. She was a girl with red hair, and freckles. She wore sweatpants and a jacket everyday, and they were a bit torn, and worn out. She seemed to be a bit scared of the people here, and looked in everyone's direction every so often like one of them were out to get her. She was made fun of behind her back but people never thinks she ever hears it, but if I can hear it, so can she. She was my favorite person to look at, and study, and she was definitely more beautiful than the head cheerleader of our cheer leading squad, Stacy, though she was beautiful as well. She went by the name of Jane Evans.
Amelia smiles at me again, looking around at my friends, "Hi." She giggles to them. I look over at them, noticing Will, who seemed to be staring at the brown long haired, brown eyed, Brazilian cutie. "Oh, This is Marie, Autumn, and Will." I say pointing to the people next to me, and they all exchange hi's. She giggles as Will stutters his out, before I turned to Matt. "So what did you want to say?" He looked over at me, shaking his head. "Just wanted you to meet my girlfriend," He replies, as his friends yell his name behind him, where they were sitting. I roll my eyes at the fact that they did not have to yell. Amelia flinches at how loud their voices are, rolling her eyes also. "Guess that's our cue," She points behind her. "You should come to our girls night, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind," I point to the pretty girls beside me. "That'd be great if you did!" Marie says, excitedly nodding her head. "What she said," Autumn laughs, nodding her head also. "Let's exchange numbers then?" Amelia says, smiling at how excited they were. I give her my number into her giraffe cased iPhone, and she turns around to her boyfriend and his immature friends. I turn around, right as the bell rang. ------------------
Sometimes, life is full of surprises, and right now, surprise is what I felt. I had walked up to my house, next to Dana, as we decided that we would do our biology homework together today. Now, I was standing in front of my parents, my dad wore a black suit, and my mom wore a black business skirt, with a flowy white shirt. "Mom, Dad?" I question, hugging them. Dana stood to the side, before Mummy came, and rescued him from his sudden awkwardness. We pulled out of the hug, my mom with a small smile on her face, my dad the same. "I missed you so much," My mom says, smiling a bit wider than the small smile she had worn. My dad does the same, and I'm pulled back to the memory of when our family was happy and fully together. We used to have Saturday game nights in the dining room, Mummy joining. We would laugh and play uno or yatzee, me always between my sister, and dad who were both sore losers. When ever they lost they would shake their heads in disbelief, wanting a rematch. We never wanted the family nights to end, having to much fun, so we always ended up playing until two in the morning. We were always late to church the next morning, so we ended up not going on Sundays, but instead just on Wednesday. It would be so much better if the Meyers never came to town.
"Now that we have our hellos exchanged, who is the boy standing in our kitchen?" My dad asked, raising his eyebrows. My dad doesn't really trust guys with my heart now, after what happened to my sister, but he still wanted me to be able to fall in love. I giggle a little, rolling my eyes. "That's my boyfriend, Dana." I say, "Don't worry, he's a good kid."
Kinda. "We are staying for a couple of days, but you and your boyfriend can go into your room, as long as there's no funny business," My mom says, I roll my eyes, and start heading towards the kitchen. "You can just say sex," Enter, and then close the door behind you like the slick person you are. "Let's go," I say to Dana, taking his hand. We go up to my room, and we some how find ourselves two hours later looking at my ceiling, and talking. Our talks were sort of different though, as we talked about our thoughts and what we felt. I had no idea how conversation had went from wanting to be penguins instead of humans, to the fact that I sometimes think I belong into an insane asylum, and not the funny type. "Sometimes, I feel like everyone around me, are going to shut down and act like robots who are caught thinking that the world is going to end," Dana confesses, his eyebrows drawing close to each other. "When I think about the world ending, I breath like I'm about to have an asthma attack," It was true. If I was anywhere and thought about the world ending or the people around me Dieing, it seemed like my asthma was working its way into my thoughts, and signaling for an inhaler anytime soon. I never liked change, and the thought makes me ill. "Is that healthy?" He questions, with a pang of worry in his voice. I shrug, "I don't know, I don't even think its normal." He rolls over, on top of me, his weight lifted of from him putting his hands near my side.
"Who cares if its normal?" He says, smirking a little. "Unnormal is better." I giggle a little, a smile making its way on my face. "I don't even think unnormal is a word," I point out, and he smiles this time, "Unnormal is an unnormal word, therefore we can be unnormal together." I laugh out, shaking my head. "Thanks for ruining the moment, Prince." I tease, pushing his shoulder a bit, but he didn't budge. Only a little. "I can make another moment, if you'd like me to, Princess," He bends down, presses a soft kiss on my lips. That's when I knew I was screwed.
I didn't feel butterflies.
I didn't feel sparks.
I felt heat.
