Chapter 20: Who Am I?

Not only did they forget you....

Every ounce of previous excitement burned and faded away, emptiness replacing in its wake.

"Natsu and Lucy... are dating...."

You turn around, nearly running into Loke, who had followed after your previous excited movement.

"(Y/n), what's-"

"So where can I get my stamp?" You ask, a wide smile on your face. If you looked closely, you would be able to tell that the smile didn't quite reach your (e/c) eyes. But it was enough to deceive him.

"I'll show you. Come on," he says, moving away towards a bar counter. You follow slowly behind him.

"Hey, Master. My si- uh.. I mean, (Y/n)... yeah! She wants to join Fairy Tail. So... I'll leave you guys to it.." he mumbled, scooting away. You opened your mouth to shout "wait" at him, but he was already gone.

"So, child. What brings you here to Fairy Tail?" Makarov asks, sounding somewhat bored.

Natsu. And everyone I've already met.

"I... I heard this guild is like family... which is something I never really had... not fully anyways..." you reply vaguely.

Makarov nods. "What magic do you use?"

"Oh, I'm a-" you pause, realizing you weren't supposed to tell anyone you were a celestial spirit. "I'm a Galaxy mage," you reply smoothly.

He sits up about taller. "Is that so? Never heard of that magic before. Mind showing me an example?" He asks, his face holding legitimate curiosity.

"Sure." You twirl your finger, praying desperately something would happen. To your immense relief, a small swirling miniature galaxy appeared, twinkling for a moment before falling to the ground as tiny little shooting stars. It was a neat trick. You would have to remember that.

"Interesting. From what I was aware, only Celestial mages and spirits could perform star-like magic such as that. You couldn't be a spirit, could you?" He asks, opening his eyes to stare at you. Sweat drips down your back.

"Uh-"

"I'm just kidding! Welcome to Fairy Tail! Mira, get the booze! Oh, and the stamp! Everyone, we've got a new member!" Makarov shouts, his face flushed from alcohol.

A girl with long, white hair and royal blue eyes approached you, smiling. "Hello, my name is Mirajane. You can call me Mira. Who might you be?" She asks.

"I'm (Y/n)," you reply simply. "Nice to meet you."

"Yep! So, where would you like your stamp? And what color?"

You open your mouth, then pause. What did you want? "Uh.... (f/c) right... here!" You exclaim, pointing to the place you wanted the mark.

"And... all set!"

You admire your new mark for a minute, thanking her quickly as people crowded around you.

"What's your name?"

"She looks manly!"

"What's the big deal? Hey-"
