Chapter 19: New Beginnings Aren't Everything

"So what'll it be, (Y/n)? ... Stay or leave?"

Loke's eyes were dark and unreadable. Whatever decision you made, he would stand by it.

"I... I'm ready to leave. I want to go to Earthland." You state, your voice unwavering. Just the thought of seeing him again... and everyone else of course. But him especially...

"I'm glad." Loke smiles at you, and it makes you realize how much tension he had had inside of him a moment ago. He hadn't been completely convinced that you would agree to go with him.

"Let's get on with it then.." You say softly. He reaches and grabs your hand, his larger one wrapping around your smaller one. "You ready?" He asks quietly. You nod. As excited as you were to go back, you were a little hesitant. You would be leaving so much behind... old friends, your home that you had "grown up" in, the Internet, technology... Well, that was assuming that Earthland didn't have the same technology that Earth had.

A sudden, freezing cold covers you for a mere split second, almost as if you had been dunked into the Arctic Ocean for one second, and then pulled back up. You gasp, stumbling backward onto your rear as you take in your surroundings. Brilliant stars shone in the dark blue sky, and swirling galaxies and large and small planets spotted the space-like sky. "Is... This Earthland?"

"No. This is the Celestial Spirit World."  Loke says, offering you a hand to help you up. You grab it, letting him pull you up. "So this is where you live? How come you don't live in Earthland with Lucy and Natsu in Fairy Tail?"

"Yeah, I live here. I have a house here, plus celestial spirits can only stay in Earthland for a limited amount of time before they have to come back here and recharge there magic energy," He explains.

"So does that mean I have to live here to? I can't stay in Earthland with Natsu? ... And.. the others?" You quickly add on the last part. Loke shakes his head. "Afraid not. I can explain how it all works when we get to my house. In the meantime, you can live with me in my house. That's where you used to live... before..... yeah." You smile weakly. "Thanks."

You walk down a sparkly road path, your footsteps completely soundless. "Well... this place is really beautiful.." You say, looking up as a shooting star darts quickly across the sky. You smile slightly.

"Yeah. It's beauty never really gets old to me. That's one of the reasons I love living here. It's always peaceful," He says. He continues walking, and a building comes into view.

The building wasn't like any building on Earth. It was pretty big. It was also a royal blue color with a golden trim. And whatever material it was made of, it sparkled like a gemstone. "Is that... your home?"

"No. It's our home," He said, smiling as he opened the door and led you inside.

You marvel at the space in the inside. It was as if Loke was rich or something. The first thing that came into view when you opened the door was the living room. A large, flat screen that looked as if it were made out of crystal - maybe it was - it was floating a few feet off the ground.

The living room was spacey, with large plush couches lining the walls. They looked comfortable enough to sleep on. You walk through the room towards the stairs. They were hard, wooden steps that were nice and polished. You jog up the stairs, assuming that's where your old room was located.

When you reach the top of the stairs, a hallway led to two separate rooms; one door was slightly cracked, so you peeked your head through. It was Loke's room. It was sleek themed, with a modern look to it. A black covered bed, white dark painted walls and glass bedside tables decorated the room. You couldn't help but notice how neat it was; not a single speck of dust lay anywhere in sight. So unlike your old room at your old house, where clothes had been thrown all over the floor and dressers.
