*Liam's POV*

I don't care who they are, there's no one who can survive this. I hold the gun up in the air, examining it. I pack the ammo in a backpack, hiding the gun in its holster on my leg. I was going to find her. I couldn't let her find out.

I pack lightly, only taking things that were absolutely necessary: clothes, pocket knife, rope, ect. The basic survival supplies. After a second thought, I slip a container of bear spray in the pocket of my backpack. Could never be too careful. I place the note to my parents on the bed, explaining vaguely what I planned to do. I also asked them not to tell the police about me searching for (Y/n).

I put on my backpack, double checking everything. Satisfied with my list of stuff, I quietly open the front door. I'd been keeping up with her case on the news. So far, the last sighting of her had been a little ways off of New York. I had secretly bought a plane ticket and was flying really early this morning.

I walk to the airport. It was only around a mile from our house. I was going to save her.

I arrive at the airport, about an hour before my flight left. I quicken my pace, not wanting to be late. I wait impatiently as the slow security checks everyone's bags. I didn't have to worry about them finding any weapons on me. I had a friend who worked here that was able to take care of that. He was chill, so he didn't mind.

I'm coming, (Y/n). Hang in there a little longer...

-Your POV-

"How much longer?" Wendy asks. "I'm sure she's around here somewhere. Her scent isn't as faint here as it was back there," Natsu replies, his face full of focus. Natsu suddenly stops, causing Lucy to run into his back. "Hey, watch where-"

"Wendy, do you hear that?" Natsu asks not phased by Lucy. Wendy nods, her eyes shimmering with determination. "It's smells strange too," she adds on. You strain your ears, but can't seem to hear anything. "Should we go towards it?" You ask the pinkette. He nods. "I can smell Erza's scent that way. Its slowly getting stronger."

"I see." You shift a little in Natsu's arms, a small part of you enjoying him. The other part was screaming "Useless" in your mind.

'I wonder why they even took Erza... I mean, wouldn't it be easier and more efficient to just kill her? Not saying that I want her dead.. But it just doesn't make sense.'

A sudden thought strikes you, making your eyes widen a little. 'Maybe they figured out about her magic... But that still doesn't explain why they would do what they're doing...'

"Natsu.. What kind of magic does Erza use again?" You ask him. "Requip magic," he replies without looking down at you. You nod slightly. You sigh inwardly. 'I'm still missing crucial information... Like who THEY is... And who Erza really is.. I can't analyze this without those pieces of information...'

"What the..." Natsu trails off, a look of confusion on his face. "What's wrong?" Lucy asks. "Erza's scent.. It just disappeared..." Natsu says. "I can't smell it anymore either.." Wendy says. Lucy groans. "We were so close too! Are you sure that it isn't here anymore Natsu?" She asks him. He doesn't reply. He slowly lowers you to the ground, so that your one good foot was supporting you. Your bad ankle was being supported by you leaning against Natsu.

"Dammit! Stupid nose.. Stupid scent... Stupid world!" Natsu yells. You cower slightly, not used to seeing him so angry. "Calm down, flame brain. We just need to retrace our steps and I'm sure that we can find her-"

"Shut up! You're the one who left her in the first place! We would probably already be back at the guild by now if you hadn't had left her there! Who the hell knows where she is now!" Natsu yells at Gray. Smoke came up in grey wisps off of his shoulder. You wince as his body temperature rises, singeing your skin and clothes a little bit. You try to pull away from the pinkette to avoid getting burned, but his grip is too right.
