4) I'm Fine

*Josh's POV*

Tyler, Jenna , Debby, and I were all on our way to Chloe's place to have a movie night. We parked in the Apartments parking lot and sat there for a few minutes. We were all texting and calling Chloe and she wasn't answering "Maybe her phones dead?" Jenna suggested. Tyler Debby and Jenna decided to go buy some candy and drinks at the local supermarket and I went to check if Chloe was even home.

When I got to her floor I saw that her door was wide open I ran down the hall and when I arrived at her apartment I saw her. I had to help her so I tackled the guy and started punching him, this guy was huge I have no idea how I threw him to the ground I picked him up by the shirt and threatened "IF YOU EVER TOUCH HER AGAIN I WILL KILL YOU" I gave him a couple bruises but I got a couple too. My lip was bleeding so when I felt my lip he quickly threw me to the floor and ran out the door.

 I was going to run after him but Chloe was just laying there I couldn't leave her, I picked her up and held her in my hands she was breathing but I knew I had to get her to the hospital. That's when everyone walked in they quickly ran to me and started asking me a million questions I couldn't think straight so I just yelled "Get.....Chloe...Hospital" I sounded insane but they understand. We put Chloe in the car and drove, we got to the hospital and they immediately took her in leaving us to wait for multiple hours.

 It was now 3 in the morning and we were still there we weren't going to leave her alone, the doctor walked into the waiting room and asked if Chloe has any family they could contact. We all just looked at each other then Tyler blurted out "We uh don't know she never talked or mentioned any family to us" we all nodded to what Tyler said.

" Well whoever found her I need to speak to you" I quickly got up and walked into a random room with the doctor, he started to explain to me that this wasn't the first time Chloe's ever been here then he started listing what damages she has. "Two broken ribs, mild concussion, many bruised bones/muscles if you came any later I think she would've been very close to death you saved her life" he left me alone for a while which made me think a lot "you saved her life" just kept repeating in my head.

 All I was trying to do is make sure she was okay and apparently I'm a hero now? I started walking back to the waiting room when I saw Tyler and Jenna walking towards me "There you are" Jenna said grabbing my hand "We can go see her".

 All 3 of us walked in there she was my best friend just laying there unconsciously connected to many different machines, I sat down next to her and held her hand I wanted all her pain to transfer to me so she can be fine she doesn't deserve this. "I don't know if I could do this" I whispered hoping no one heard Tyler kneeled next to me and put his hand on my shoulder "Hey we all have to be strong for her we are the only family she has".

 Chloe has no family?

"What?" I said in disbelief Jenna wiped a tear from her eye and said "Yeah Chloe's family was never around any of the other times she was here and she never wanted to talk about them so everyone just assumes she has none". I looked around and quickly changed the subject "Where's Debby?" Tyler and Jenna just looked at each other "She had to leave.." I just rolled my eyes. She always just has to leave every time I need her ,she's gone I'm so tired of it. I was lost in my train of thought then snapped out of it when I heard someone rush into the room it was Debby. I got up and walked to her, I could tell her heart was broken "I'm so sorry I had to take this phone call but....how is she?" I took her into a hug she just sobbed into my shoulder her and Chloe became really close this last month.

We waited a while until she woke up the time read 4:30 we were all still awake barely able to talk we were all exhausted. Tyler and Jenna decided to go to the hospital cafeteria "Anyone need anything?" Jenna asked, "Yeah a red bull" I replied half asleep Debby went along with them.  After 5 minutes I started to doze off, no Josh wake up Chloe needs you  my thoughts woke me up I walked over to Chloe and held her hand she must be so scared.

Once I put her hand in mine her eyes opened, she quickly shut them "A-am I alive?" she whispered. I came closer "Yes Chloe everything is going to be okay just stay with me please" I begged she nodded her head she slowly opened her eyes I could see all the fear and pain still in her eyes. She sat up and just looked around she was silent then she burst into tears "J-Josh why didn't he just kill me? Everything w-would be better" I just looked at her and couldn't believe the words coming out of her mouth "No no no no Chloe nothing would be better if you were dead everything would be worse ,we care...".

Debby, Tyler, and Jenna ran over to us "Chloe I'm so glad you are awake you don't even understand" Debby practically screamed and hugged Chloe, she grunted in pain. "I'm so sorry did I hurt you?" Debby asked concerned Chloe tried smiling but failed because of the pain "yeah I'm fine thank you". The doctor told us all to leave because Chloe needed to sleep we all begged to stay but the doctor didn't let us, as we were walking out Tyler kissed Jenna's cheek and ran back to Chloe's room. He ended up staying with her through the night. Tyler and Chloe acted like siblings the bickering , love and hate toward each other.

Debby Jenna and I woke up early to get to the hospital because Chloe could come home, once we arrived and walked into the room we saw Chloe and Tyler snuggled up. We woke Tyler up and took Chloe home she had to be very careful with everything since her 2 ribs were broken. We were all so glad she was able to even wake up.
