9) New Beginnings

*Chloe's POV*

I woke up to my alarm clock which I forgot to turn off last night, I looked at the date and today is New Year's Eve. Great looks like I'm doing nothing again 3rd year in a row *DING* my phone went off I got a text

Joshy: Don't forget about the party tonight!

Oh man! I totally forgot the party starts at 6 and it's 2 god I slept in. I jumped out of bed took a shower, I hopped out of the shower and started my makeup, my makeup was dark which matched my dress. It took my about an hour to do my makeup and another hour and a half to do my hair because I decided to straighten it then curl it again because my hair was too frizzy. I was jamming out Bredon Urie's beautiful vocal chords when I turned around I saw Tyler recording me.

 "Hey! How'd you get in here?" I asked he pulled keys out of his pocket "You left these in my house remember like last week?" he said throwing them to me. Good thing he had those because I had to keep using my spare which was really annoying. "And where do you think your going young lady?" Tyler said sitting down on the edge of my bed. "Uh a party.... with Josh, you wanna come with?" I said curling the last piece of hair "Oh no Jenna and I are going to Marks party Josh was invited but would much rather hang out with Jesse as you can see" he said in kind of a jealous tone. I chuckled and walked past him I started putting my makeup and other tools away "Well I'll keep an eye on Josh don't worry" I winked at Tyler.

*Josh's POV*

It was 4:30 and Chloe wasn't returning any of my texts I called so many times and nothing then I got a text from Tyler it was a video of Chloe, she was dancing around and singing to Panic! at the Disco. I texted him asking if she was ready because it takes us an hour to get to the place anyways, Tyler is kind of mad at me right now because I'm going to Jesse's party.

 He texted me that she was ready so I made my way over to her house, when I arrived she was waiting outside with Tyler. She looked stunning the way her makeup compliments her dress and how her bleach blonde hair was nicely curled and draped over her shoulder. I was speechless I walked out and held the door for her, Tyler could tell I was stunned he mouthed to me "I know right!". Chloe sat in the passenger seat "Okay kids have fun" Tyler said waving goodbye.

"Do I look okay? I don't know I usually don't go to these type of parties so I didn't know what to wear" she said fixing her black dress "Okay?! Chloe you look amazing!" I couldn't stop looking at her she just had this...vibe I guess you could say. We made some small talk "Can I play some music?" she asked I nodded and then in just a short 2 minutes I heard Brendon's screams while singing Nicotine. She was singing her lungs out but her voice was drowning in the music so I couldn't hear her well but I couldn't help but laugh the whole time. She turned the music down "Why are you laughing?" she flashed a smile, "Oh nothing just you see my best friend she's quite the dancer" I laughed. She smiled and continued dancing and singing, we finally arrived at Jesse's I parked the car and we headed inside

*Chloe's POV*

*internally dying inside* because I don't go out much except for work and my social anxiety is eating me alive. I mean I guess Josh did help boost my self esteem by complimenting me but he probably just felt bad. When we walked through the door everyone immediately came and greeted us, I finally was able to meet Jesse and things were running smoothly. I made a drink and stood in a corner by myself while Josh was off mingling "Chloe... what are you doing?" he said walking towards me "What? Josh I don't know anyone here plus I'm fine by myself anyways" I said playing with my necklace.

 We walked into the kitchen to have some privacy "So I'll introduce you to some people.. come one it's New Years Eve have some fun!" he waved his arms around and did a little dance I couldn't help but laugh at his silliness.  I gave in and we started walking out of the kitchen we stopped at the door and Josh started "Okay so I wan-" he was cut off by Jesse yelling "HEY YOU TWO LOOK ABOVE YOU!!!". We both looked up and it was mistletoe ( GREAT JUST MY LUCK) we both looked at each other and blushed "No.. we're just friends we ca-" Jesse cut me off again "You HAVE to do it, it's the rules" Josh and I looked at each other again. Josh leaned in and........ gave me a kiss on the cheek I blushed so hard I looked at the ground hoping he wouldn't see me.

*Josh's POV*

Chloe was blushing like crazy this is so adorable. Yeah I've got to admit I have feelings for her but I don't know how she feels towards me. We stood there awkwardly until Chloe excused herself to go to the bathroom. I just stood in the door way thinking "did that just happen?" , the night went on and before we knew it we were counting down to the new year Chloe and I were sitting on the couch playing cards. 5  4  3  2  1 HAPPY NEW YEARS!! everyone screamed and kissed , everyone and I mean everyone had someone to kiss except for me and Chloe. She looked so uncomfortable "Well why don't we just hug?" she said shrugging her shoulders I nodded and we hugged. We stayed for another hour and half when we decided it was time to leave. She fell asleep in the car, she looked so peaceful and quiet so beautiful I know she's my best friend but I can't help it I blame my feelings.

I parked in the parking lot outside of her house and decided that I should wake her even though I really didn't want too. We were at her front door saying goodbye immediately I felt butterflies in my stomach I was so nervous what's happening to me ? "Chloe" I said slowly , she turned back "Yeah Josh" she looked confused ( what I'm about to do is extremely risky but it's worth it)

I took a deep breath and walked towards her I quickly cupped her face in my hands and I did it I kissed her... the girl I wanted for weeks.
