A man in a black Denali pulls up "called for a drive?" I reply skeptical because I didn't request a big car "Do you mind if I check the backseats?" He kinda smirked and replied "of course" he even poped the trunk. I searched the vehicle thoroughly. I would have normally done this being as I have always been a cautious person. He had a charming accent though, I couldn't 100% be sure of it because South Africans and the English had similar accents.
He looked to be mixed of white and black. Curly hair tied back with a natural ombre of blonde tips, young, cute smile with a barely chipped front tooth that added character to his boyish charm. We arrive at my apartment. "I'll only be a couple of minutes, I have to pick up some shoes and do something with this unruly hair" his smile is soft and he responds "You ought to hurry, he hates waiting"

I nod my head yes without realizing what I just heard. I get into my apartment, oh how miss the comfort of the grey walls, chrome appliances, the art work my friends sends me of the most beautiful pieces he hand makes, my purple sectional with a my yellow throws and pillows. I rush pass trying hard to not embrace into my bed with its goose down comforter thats calling my name but instead, go straight to the closet. This romper will go well with red Christian Louboutin shoes and some bangles with a top knot bun and some triangle earring that reached to my collarbone. I spray a little estee lauder's, Pleasure around my face and become so comforted by the smell, and like always, bathe in it. Did I get everything? I think so. Set my alarm system to "away" and whisper "see ya soon" to the apartment I begged to be in for the last few days.

I walk down the steps and the car is still waiting along with the patient guy, I get in the car and begin to tell him the address to which I am going and he cuts me off "Miss Charis I will be your designated driver, your uber is probably still at the hospital awaiting your arrival..Dris couldnt possibly leave his whereabouts to just anyone" he kind of chuckles. It clicks and I wish I was better informed by at least Kalisto but no such luck.

We arrive, he gets out the door and takes my hand to help me out. We are infront of a large building with an entrance that has a waterfall within its walls glass, I've been to fancy venues, homes, penthouses, restaurants plenty of times so the scenes of fancy wasnt unfamilar but this structure seemed to be of carefully collected, time-taking pieces. I am walking around, admiring the different things that lay in a lobby of a hotel of hundreds of rooms. I am staring at a piece of a girl in a red dress with red lips, her figure is strong in all the right places She has a cigarette in her hand and her hand in tucked under her elbow her skin a metallic silver. A familiar pose I often use in comfort. I don't know much of metals but it was beautiful and oddly recognizable. As I am staring at the art I feel a hand at my elbow and another at my back in between the back of my shoulders and butt. It was Dris "You clean up well and fast" I continue looking forward..going along with his gesture.

We are all urged to gather towards the left where everything looked of crystals and there was a podium. A lady begins to climb up, applause, cheering and even whistling break out before she can fully stand in front of it. She is in a beautiful white gown that drags behind her, the material that is yards behind her attached to her dress is in sheer. She is an unnaturally platinum blonde, with bangs and a bob cut and with a heavy winged eye liner which only proved her age more so, she was in her 50's or 60's you could tell work had been done to her cheekbones, lips and probably elsewhere so the exact age wasn't an easy guess.

She began to speak of the honors in which she had the pleasures of working with such people. I slighlty mute her out because this clearly has nothing to do with anything that interests me. I see a waiter next to me with a circle trey of 5 fancy alcoholic drink that had a piece of cotton candy in it. I help myself and thank him. I get a slight disapproving look from Dris but disregard it. It was very tasty more sweet than burning like alcohol usually is. I enjoy my wines but I am not a daily or even weekly drinker. It seems to have been her speaking of her 50 years of existence in her speech and from looking around I could tell I wasnt the only face that felt the same. We were all done hearing her talk about herself but I made sure my face never displayed any boredom but rather infatuation. She finishes her speech and opens her arms out "Now everyone gather to the banquet hall where I personally chose the most decadent entree's as my gratitude for being able to retire from working with such wonderful people." I look up to Dris he looks down, grabbing my hand to lead me to where the rest of the crowd was going, I see him paying special attention to my make up covered wrists.
